I just got my first speeding ticket - 58 on a 45. I didn't think it was a big deal, but the madre's freaking out, so here's my question.
Is there any way to not have the points show up on my record? Like... extra driver's ed classes? Anything? This is really annoying. |

And in some states they clear it after a couple months to 10 years... ![]() Here in Ireland its cleared after 2 years. |

I'm 18 as of a month ago.
And my court date's gonna be within the month, so I guess I'll find out what happens... I just don't want my insurance to go up. |

If it was only like 13 over the limit, I don't think it's that big of a deal. If you can pay it off, I doubt insurance will go up... but that's just my thought, I have no idea about that kind of stuff even though I probably should. Isn't that pretty much just for accidents and more serious violations?

In Florida if you sign up to take a drivers education class the points won't show up on your license. I don't how that whole thing works in other states.

Around here that's enough to take points from your license. It's weird because there are certian towns, cities, and villages where the cops will warn you first and then there are some where they will nail you for going only 5 over. It really depends on where you live, maybe go to the website or something. If you pay it off it shouldn't be a big deal.
Get a fuzz buster. Haha. I speed all the time. |

It all depends on what your judge says. He/she might let you off, I mean it was only 13mph, but you might have to attend some stupid traffic class or something. If you are nice and respectful, the judge will likely give you something.
Let us know how it goes. |
