How often do you come across good conversation? Do conversations have to be "meaningful" to be "good"? How do you define an "meaningful" conversation?

Hard to say...they happen on the random occasion...not really often but they aren't that rare either.

I dont think conversations always have to be meaningful to be good. Funny random ones can be quite hilarious sometimes.

I rarely ever go into a 'meaningful' conversation with someone. It gets quite boring if you always do though.

Lately? Pretty often. It used to be rarely, but I've started talking to someone who I can have both meaningful and silly conversations with, for long periods of time.
It's VERY nice, to say the least. ![]() Good/meaningful are a pretty subjective words though. I can wax philophical on the sexual undertones between Frodo Baggins and Sam Gamgee and find that to be a good/meaningful conversation AND/OR discuss the bloated and puffed up popularity of philosophers like Nietzsche (not that I don't appreciate Nietzsche, by the way... erm, it's a discussion. LOL) and find that to be a good/meaningful conversation as well. |

All the time, I think that conversations that are "meaningful" tend to apply to life in some way. I love conversations where I learn something about myself, and I also love conversations where someone learns something about their life. I believe those are the most meaningful.
Erf.. bottom line, I like the conversations that leave you feeling loved or as if you have loved someone else. It doesn't matter what subject it is. |

Not very often. They don't have to be meaningful or good, as long as it's [insert forgtton word here]

Not very often from what I believe. Although I don't have very many conversations with others. I think to just have a meaningful conversation is to have a conversation talking about something interesting that both parties are interested in.

My friends nowadays are mostly about jokes... not "real" conversations...
![]() Meaningful for me has to be somewhat phylisophical to some degree. |

Most of my conversations do not really have a point, they're just fun and usually people jocking around. Meaningful conversation to me, is just a conversation that actually has a good point to it for me and who I am speaking too. Usually when I have them its about important stuff anyway.

meaningful conversations in the wee hours of the morning?
that happens to me about once every two years. but its always nice. the last time, i was talking to my ex, current bf, and friend. and they all told me encouraging things that made me feel special. :) and recently my best friend wrote an essay about how i influenced him and that was super meaningful to me. as for funny conversations, hoo those spring up randomly. |
