Hi, I need this by Sunday [March 4]

I can't brainstorm any ideas for a poem topic, so can you guys help?
All you have to do is brainstorm a list of ideas for a good/decent poem.
And if you want to/can, list a topic and some 'creative' metaphors along with it?

Thanks =]

I'd say go with whatever inspires you. Look out the window if you have to.

Freshmen year in highschool my teacher gave the class a worksheet of words that were put in categories (i.e. Fruits, colors) and he had us circle two from each collum and write a poem using those words. For me, it worked really well because you had your main words there and you got to build abstractly around them. Maybe you could create your categories and write down your own random words and then select some and write around them.
