I think Linderman is a mobster of some sort, has to have a lot of money, and he's the big kahuna or ring leader w/e you wanna call him. He's definately not working for the government, and I think he's someone you do not want to get involved with or you're dead He did collect some of Issac's paintings, maybe he is a collector too- I remember Simone saying something about him. But I think he's bad news.

You can definitely rule out the second and third guesses. At this point, the only clues we have to link HRG with anyone already mentioned in the show is Linderman, those of which can be found in the graphic novels (specifically the "Wireless" storyline). It's either that or a whole different entity that's yet to be introduced, which is highly unlikely, but we'll just have to see.

01.20.07 - .... The writing team is also trying to come up with a believable way to show onscreen how Sylar absorbs other hero powers and have confessed to stating that he does eat at least part of the brains.

Ah, this one. There has been so much speculation and debate around that, but most of all, people have been so confused as to what exactly happened.
Simply put, Hiro reversed time, being specific with his zone of influence ("localized time distortion").
It was definitely good to see growth with his powers.

Ah, the explanation to that is Hiro drew the bullet back into the barrel of the gun using specific/selective time reversal. Her reaction is from the force of the bullet hitting the gun (if you remember the gun actually flies out of her hand).
With localized time distortion, it gave the cops time to reach/tackle Hope "before" the shot was executed - I believe you can spot the cops pulling in before they tackle her down if you rewatch the episode.

I'm glad you didn't bring up Ando having powers or another "Hero" being involved...I'm sick of hearing that already, lol.

Oi. I loved that episode. It was so awesome. The radioactive guy was really annoying and so was Matt. Im sure things would have gone a lot smoother if he didn't repeat everything everyone was thinking out loud.

When Claire came out of the explosion she looked coool. I was like whoa. Shes definitely a badass. I wonder if the mom and Lyle will be able to keep their memories of what happened. Wait I dont even remember Simone dying. I totally missed that.

- New girl is a shapeshifter (many are using it to explain Simone's resurrection, if it isn't a dream/vision).
- New girl is an illuisionist/reality-warpist of some sort, can induce hallucinations or manipulate memory somehow.
(Both are to support how exactly she'll "clean up this mess" for the OWI.)
- The OWI is trying to breed new meta-humans by finding out what makes them tick and duplicating them into those without the gene - refer to the mention of vivisections during the conversation between Claude and HRG and the comment made by Thompson about Ted.
- Matt is going to be "reprogrammed" to work for the OWI.

Any thoughts, theories, or other speculations you may have?

Some Of The Many New Questions

- Who exactly was Claude protecting? Most speculate it's Meredith.
- Where will the Haitian and Claire head off to? Many are rooting for an overdue Petrelli reunion in NY.
- Is TV magic going to explain why no one is going to die from the massive radiation poisoning they should all be getting soon, or can Ted emit different types of radiation waves?
- What's the significance of the Deveaux rooftop, and why does Claude (in the present) turn to it as a sanctuary? Does it signify a fallout within the OWI (or one between the OWI and Deveaux) that is yet to be revealed?
-Was Mr. Deveaux somehow involved with them and/or has the ability to astral/dream project? And would this lineage explain why Simone would be alive (even though the actress who plays her has apparently made clear that her time is up with the show) and thus negate the speculations of the new girl being a shapeshifter?
- So why didn't the Haitian supress Ted's powers? Does this mean that he can only block off powers of the mind?
- How will Peter vs. Sylar Round 2 turn out?

My Two Cents

If it helps, he's being played by Malcolm McDowell - at least, that's what's been well accepted.

Either he's Linderman's right hand man (or at least one of the individuals in command of the OWI) or the OWI is an alliance of different factions, with Kaito Nakamura being one of the leaders (going with that theory, the other leaders being Linderman, Mr. Deveaux, and maybe even the deceased Petrelli father).
Also, there are theories about his "big corporation" tying in with his visit to Hiro - the company being a cover-up like Primatech, him trying to protect Hiro (much like HRG with Claire), etc.

I should surely hope not. That actress has her time up with the show (hopefully), and I'd much rather have a vision or the new girl's power explaining her being resurrected than having her stay any longer - her character's rather useless, IMO.


It's safe to say that the many things they revealed only spawned more questions for us viewers - and the preview for "Like Any Parasite" was no exception - boy, let's not even get to those questions (Ando's return, Mohinder+Sylar, etc.)

- What's the significance of the Deveaux rooftop, and why does Claude (in the present) turn to it as a sanctuary? Does it signify a fallout within the OWI (or one between the OWI and Deveaux) that is yet to be revealed?
-Was Mr. Deveaux somehow involved with them and/or has the ability to astral/dream project? And would this lineage explain why Simone would be alive (even though the actress who plays her has apparently made clear that her time is up with the show) and thus negate the speculations of the new girl being a shapeshifter?
- So why didn't the Haitian supress Ted's powers? Does this mean that he can only block off powers of the mind?
- How will Peter vs. Sylar Round 2 turn out?

As for Simone, i dont think she came back to life. I think Peter or Isaac dreamed what they showed of her in the previews? Maybe. More likely to be Peter.
But she needs to stay dead, more peter and isaac for US. haha. TV guide says she'll be seen again march 5, though. I'm actually glad she's not being written off completely.

It's not so much that HRG was faking his death; I believe he's making it seem as if the Haitian (who he had informed to Thompson was a traitor of some sort) attacked HRG and fled with Claire, thus saving her and not being reprimanded by the OWI.

The end made me tear up too. My boyfriend called after the show was over and he knew I would get teary. It was a good episode.

Hrm, Simone confuses me. She looked confident and unphased almost, when they showed the preview for next week and she's all, "You wanna' shoot me again?" or whatever it was, blood-stained shirt and all. Who knows? Powers? No powers? I guess we'll have to see.

As for the acronym, O.W.I = Organization Without Initials.
