Well, I searched and nothing really came up. I just thought of an idea that could make it easier for members to be more active. What if Createblog had a guide for new members? For example, if there were guests are newly joined members, there could be a little blob on the side greeting them and holding a sign that says "Allow me to give you a tour around Createblog". When they click on the sign, they can be brought to a page with different screenshots of what they'll be able to do on Createblog. (such as where the forums are, where to post what, how they can socialize by joining clubs, etc.) This can encourage them to be more active by maybe also showing them the different subforums of Createblog and saying: if you have any ideas to improve cB, post here.
It was just an idea...what do you guys think? |

I agree completely with Toya, its a great idea Jane. It would help people really get to know about createblog and all the things they can do for the community.

That'd be awesome! I don't know if we can have a little pop-up person or blob, but at least a thread dedicated to the How-To's around here.
Er wait...did you mean a thread in the first place? Okay, yeah, before I confuse myself more, I love this idea.

I thought it would be cute if there could be a little blob on the side of the page, but if that's too much, then a simple decorated thread showing the different sections of Createblog would do too!

Very nice idea, Jane.
I'm sure it'll help a lot of new people find their way around createBlog.  I would really like this idea to actually come into actions. It's a very neat idea. Maybe we should hear from a Admin's perspective? Other than that, great idea.

Have you asked the admins if the little guy in the corner will be possible? I don't think I've ever seen one on a website, just on programs like Microsoft Word.

Yeah this sounds like it might be a little trickier. It sounds like it might become a more innovative version of the My Assistant feature.
Just, please not the Merlin pop-up. That thing really annoys me.

^Sounds good Jane, although at the end it says click here for more information. I don't know it was just really repetitive maybe think of something else to cancel that out of having to say it each time.
Also isn't it 200 posts? QUOTE Members will have 200 posts before applying for the title of official title, as well as holding and maintaining a post per day (PPD) of 5. Also to have the official designer and promoter you have to have different requirements so you don't really need 50 posts to get those two titles. Thats the only thing that I found wrong about it. Other than that for a start of the table of contents, it sounds good
