You have a little... in your teeth...

Okay, so this is somewhat random. Oh well.

Today my friend was eating broccoli and she got some stuck in tooth (how cliche, right) and so I simply let her know and she said "Thanks for making me feel stupid." and I said "Well, would you rather me not tell you?"

There are kids who accidentally have an unzipped backpack, things in teeth, something on them, whatever... who walk around and people always see them but don't tell them.

Are you the type of person to tell them, or do you hope that they'll notice on their own? I'm hoping no one here is rude and will make fun of them or say something rude to them about it, but have you ever? Or have you ever tried to help someone out and they took it the wrong way?

I would for my friends and they probably would for me, but if it was some freshman...I'd probably laugh.

i'll tell them, but politely and secretly. ususally my friends ask "oh do i have something in my teeth" etc. and course i'll tell them, but there hasn't been an instance where someone took it the wrong way.

I'd tell my friends...and they wouldn't get offended by it. They'd be glad that a friend told them, rather than a stranger, or someone they were trying to impress.

I usually tell them. I'd hate it if that happened to me.

I forget to zip my bookbag sometimes. XD.gif
I tell other people because it's what I'd want them to do the same with me. None of my friends find it rude. mellow.gif

My friend's always ask me "Is my backpack zipped" and I think some of them just have a bad habit of not zipping it so sometimes I'll just zip it for them randomly... and one day I was walking down the hall and zipped some random kids backpack... LOL... I was kinda glad he didn't notice or that'd be awkward.

^x2 Dee, that just proves that you'd be a good pickpocketer. XD.gif

I don't mind when people tell me, and nobody's ever snapped at me for telling them, either. It's when someone's fly is open that it gets delicate, 'cause you can't just tell them in front of everyone, that'd be weird and rude. But sometimes you never find a quiet time to tell them so you kind of have to tell them louder than you had intended. mellow.gif

LOL, Kaycee. There's my future job! I wonder if there's a major for that in college.....

Oh yeah I totally forgot the fly thing. It makes me feel like a total perv when I notice a fly issue. haha. If it's my friend I'll them but if it was teacher... EWW.

I think there will always be that one person who'll be embarassed and take it the wrong way, even if you let them know politely and discreetly. Just because.
That's what I usually do (the polite & discreet thing, not the taking-it-the-wrong-way-thing).

Nah, I'm really weird about things like that. If someone book bag is unzipped, even if I don't know them I'll walk up behind them and zip it back up for them. Then just walk away... mellow.gif

The teeth thing, honestly if I had something in my teeth I would want someone to tell me. I wouldn't get offended at all and I would hope people would appreciate it when I tell them, most of my friends do usually.

Also I can't stand it when someones shoes is untied. xD Usually if its someone I know thought I'll tell them to give me their foot and I'll tie their shoe for them.

Hmm, I guess I'm a pretty helpful person. I suppose I'm really conscientious of others feelings maybe? People tell me that a lot lately.

I definitely tell my friends, but in a subtle way. I hate when people are obnoxious about stuff like that. That's just me and my friends. It really depends on how comfortable you are with certain people.

^ I'm totally obnoxious that way. laugh.gif I'm mean, whatever, but it's little lessons in humility like that that crack me up. I have no problems at all with screaming, "OMG YOUR FLY IS UNDONE!!!" I'll be at dinner or something and if someone has something in their teeth (I don't care who's around) I'll say, "sooo... roast beef, eh?" and stare visibly at their teeth.

Real friends would not let you walk around with your fly down, or your backpack opened, or spinach stuck to your teeth.

Fake friends just laugh at you and not tell you.

It depends on the person who has it.

Bah!! I hate when people do that!! laugh.gif I guess it would be much more humourus if I was the one doing it, but I know my friends would get me back. pinch.gif

Yeah, I tell my friends, and they tell me. We don't take offense to it. There is one girl, though, who tells me in a rude way (she thinks we're friends, and we're not). I'll be at the lunch table laughing at something and she'll say," UM, YOU HAVE LIPSTICK ON YOUR TEETH!" She doesn't even try to be discreet. Gosh, I despise that girl.

I tell people because I would want them to tell me
But.. I also try to do it discretely not to embarass them in front of a lot of people
even if walking around with whatever they have stick in/on them is embarassing enough
Honestly who wants to walk around all day with their fly down or broccoli in their teeth
(altho that is why you should floss always, I carry my flosspicks in my purse =D rofl, go on crack idc)

Like okay example/
my teacher had a little bit of paper, toliet paper, stuck to the back of her pants. Well the whole class was laughing and nudging each other to point it out but no one would tell her. I was like okay whatever you guys are ridiculous and I told her about it. Yeah it was in front of the whole class but I dont think that she would rather have them laughing about her every time she turned around or as she walked the room. Its common curteousy, at least I think so.

If it's a friend whose teeth have something stuck between them, I just say, "Um, you have [whatever food] stuck in your teeth." They aren't the kind of people to get annoyed or embarrassed if I point it out. If their bookbag's unzipped then I just zip it shut for them without saying anything.

As for strangers, I usually keep quiet about stuck food. For open bags I tell them it's unzipped and go on.

One of my friends has this very strange way of letting people know "subtly". Say someone had a little something on their cheek, she would keep rubbing her cheek constantly until the person gets the hint. Sometimes, everyone would notice before the person and be like "Dude, your cheek is getting red from doing that." laugh.gif

Haha, Kaycee, I think it's kinda funny when people do that. Like they'll be sitting there and constantly point at the side of their lip or something and then the person will be like "Here?" and wipe the other side of their lip... and they just don't know where the person is talking about.

Well if it's my friends, I'll probably tell them there's in something in their teeth, but if its like some random person, I might tell them. But, usually I won't if I dislike them. I get pretty embarrassed when someone tells me there is something in my teeth or something, but if its like my backpack opened, I usually hope I didn't get jacked.

Salcha... I like your sig. Haha.

But, I'd rather some one tell me. Why the hell would you get angry if some one saved you from some embarrassment later on?
