I have a friend that likes this guy, but she is rather shy and she knows him somewhat. They are basically aquintance [sp]. She has a bad habit. Sometimes she seems like she is uninterested in what people have to say (she sometimes turns her back on them and stuff like that), but the real reason is because she doesn't know what to say. It makes her feeel bad........ She wants to get to know him, but she has a really hard time...... mostly she is shy..... Another problem is that she is 3 years younger than him.... she is also a freshman and he is a senior......

Oyy. Have someone introduce her to him. Well, if she has a sudden thought about something, tell her to say it.

Well, it can be hard to break out of your shy shell if that's how you've always been ya know? So...as the poster stated above, perhaps find someone (one of your friends) that know him and ask them to introduce her to him. I guess she can also try breaking out of the "turning her back" on people and trying to face them. Self confidence is key.

stop beating urself up over ur friend's problem, and convince her to give him up. in all likelihood, its a momentary infatuation ESPECIALLY if she barely even knows the guy. and he's a senior. stop being stupid freshmen with ur prepubescent romantic ideals and realize, he doesnt have any interest in her, even more so since ur freshmen. giveup and mature a little

hmmm... thats cool.. Problem is that she kinda lacks confidence.... and has a somewhat low esteem.... I've been trying to raise her esteem, but it only works temporarily....

Seon Ho, did you burp? I smell dick... *looks around*

Well anyways, yeah... that's just something that she has to practice. She has to get better at talking to people. Like Cat said:

She can't send mixed messages like that (turning her back... etc...) or he's just going to give up.
