I just found out one of my best friends like me and I don't really know how I feel about him back. We're scheduled to have a "pre-date" date to see if we want to actually start dating afterward. I'm not sure if I want to be more than best friends though. I'm also scared because we've been a little awkward lately and whenever I mention that we are, he says "Don't worry, you'll get used to it." I just found out my friend likes him a little too. Great. What do I do?

don't feel like you have to go out with someone just because they like you; you have to decide how you feel for yourself. it's easy to like someone just because they like you - but think about what could happen. if you like him enough to risk possibly losing your friendship, then go for it. if you're not sure, i don't know if you would actually want to go out with him - because if you do, you might not end up being as close of friends as you once were. also, if your friend likes him enough for it to affect your friendship with her, you must take that into account as well. i guess you could go either way, but you really have to make that decision for yourself, based on how you feel and what you want.

you should just wait it out..... If it was me... I'd search deep inside myself and follow my heart for the answer. If you do decide to date him... your friend should be alright with it. Atleast if they're your friend.....

If it feels too awkward, then tell him that you're not comfortable with you two dating. But you should tell him that you need some time to think about it. And that since you two are best friends, you don't want to risk your relationship. Also, if you two do go out, let him know that even if you two become lovers, it's still a frienship, just stronger. Dating doesn't mean that you two aren't just best friends anymore, but lovers. So just figure out if you really do like him and being with him.

This happened to me, and I went to the movies with him and I had a good time, but it was a little awkward. The next day he asked me to be his girlfriend and it just didn't feel right. I told him no and felt really crummy about it after, but it ended up being for the better. We're still friends, and things aren't awkward anymore. Just go with how you feel and things will get better with time.
