You are completely worthless, and will never amount to anything.

If someone said those words to you, what would you say? Do you have the self-esteem to prove them wrong? Have you ever had a self-esteem so low that'd you'd actually believe it if someone said it?

That's the wonderful thing about having no self-esteem in the first place. You end up not caring so much anymore.

Actually, it's not so much that I have no self-esteem, it's that I have the mentality of an artist. Whatever I do is only good enough when I'm sick of it and don't wanna do it anymore.

"Oh, is that so? Then I guess I better start researching types of poison."

^Haha, I was going to really say something perfectly along the lines of what Reili said. I would more than likely shrug it off and just not care. I don't really care what others think of me most of the time unless I actually like them enough to care for their opinion. And if someone like that said that then I would want them to atleast inform me on why they would think that.

People say it to me, but they're usually kidding. They only say it when I won't give them the answers to the homework and stuff..
All I do is frown, make a face, and make a noise like "Neh?" And they're like "Aww, it's ok.. *patpat* I didn't mean it.."
And then someone makes a remark about how cute I act, so they can't call me worthless and stuff. pinch.gif

I don't prove them wrong. And I don't believe them. So I guess I have medium self-esteem? Hmm..

I wouldn't care, as long as I know that I AM worth something, and it's really their opinion. If I wanted their opinion, I would have asked for it. I honestly don't care what people think about me, and if they think that way towards me, they can.

I read those words one lead to discovering that feet and crotches' respective locations aren't always mutually exclusive.

My mom says that to me all the time. In fact she's saying that right now. Only in Chinese. I've gotten used to it. (She's mad right now)

I just find people who say that to others are in fact saying that about themselves. I know I am something. I don't need anyone or anything (even my mom) to tell me otherwise.

I don't need to prove them anything. I don't need to waste my precious time proving something that is already true. That's their opinion and it shouldn't hurt me or anyone else who has been called that because of the fact that it is an opinion and nothing mroe.

Actually, I resort to food a lot when I'm feeling bad. Not all the time, just when I'm feeling really bad. If somebody ever said this to me, I wouldn't feel so bad about it since I don't take things too personally IRL. I'd probably just be like "well, screw you" or something. Haha. ermm.gif

I think it would depend on who said it. I take things personally, so I would probably be pretty hurt, but I'd work my ass off to prove I could be the best, because I know that I can do anything I want to.

An "enemy" of mine once said that and she/they are sticking with it. But that's beside the point because it has nothing to do with my potential. My parents haven't really said that before but i still try hard anyway because i know it's good for me.

My dad tells me that all the time. Compared to things he's done in the past, that'd be one of his good days. Sometimes it gets to the point of where it loses meaning. You get used to it, but you are not immune to it.

Really depends. If it were a teacher, I'd be pretty hurt/shocked... If it were my parents or friends I'd probably just suicide. But if it were somebody stupid, I guess I'd brush it off... Well, brush it off more easily than any of the alternatives. I'm pretty sensitive about people's opinions.

I'd be hurt but I wouldn't stand up for myself. I have low self-esteem.
