dream land here i come!
snuggling and sleeping in my many blankets

How do you say good night to others? Do you have something that your family has always said, say it in another language? Did you ever call going to sleep something weird, like I'm going to dream land, sounds a bit weird but I've heard it been used.

I've always just said sweet dreams to most people, or just good night. I wish my family would have said it in other ways but my family isn't that interesting sad.gif

Have you ever had a recurring dream/nightmare?
When I was younger I use to always get these dreams of my sister and I in a car driving with this guy in the backseat, and he wouldn't ever help us. Or we would be in the car alone and driving down this road and somehow in the end we would crash or drive in to water and I would be able to get out and then my sister wouldn't so I would try and help her get out of the car and then wake up and never know what would happen next pinch.gif

When I sleep, I just.. go to sleep. mellow.gif I don't really do anything..

I don't really remember having any recurring nightmares or dreams. But, I do remember having dreams everynight that would continue.. Like, it would pick up from what I was dreaming the night before. It was kinda weird.. I still have 'em.

I usually say the same two phrases: Good night and sweet dreams (ocassionally: Dream sweetly) For some reason, I always need to say it to someone before I go to bed. It just makes me feel complete. I've only had the same dream once...and in my dream I was 3. Lost and alone.

It really depends on what time I'm sleeping. On the rare occasion that I sleep early, I usually just scream out in the hallway "Goodnight everyone!", go to bed, and that's it. Usually, though, I'm the last one to go to sleep so I just tiptoe my way into my room trying not to hit anything. Of course, half the time I do end up hitting something, and I end up screaming, and I wake a couple of people up. stubborn.gif

Oooh and the nightmare. I used to wake up in the middle of the night thinking a huge purple octopus ate everything I knew and we all had to live inside the octopus. And I was SCARED. Like "Mommy can I pleeease sleep in your bed?!? PLEASE?!?!" They let me once, but not after that because they said I move too much. I still have the dream every couple of years, and itstill scares the shattles out of me.

I say "goo light mammy" to my mom before I sleep. It's my attempt to imitate her badly accented English, haha. I hardly ever say "good night" in Cantonese, though. It's a little weird. Maybe "sleep early" in Cantonese.

I've never had any recurring dreams that I can recall, though I'm sure I've had many of the same dreams that I don't remember at all. Some of the most memorable include aliens and getting murdered by said aliens with their laser guns.

Yeah.

I just say "'Night!"
I don't say it to my parents in Chinese. I actually don't know how to say it in Chinese. mellow.gif

And I always have nightmares when I have a fever. There are some that are not as bad (everything is bigger than me, but it feels extremely scary) and some that really, really scare me (invisible person in my basement that tries to kill me whenever I go near the door). Others hurt me emotionally (me going on a plane with my parents and they jump out. I always wake up crying pinch.gif).
These nightmares aren't that bad, but imagine having one of these every 10 minutes.

I actually say good night in English to my family (and friends). I don't think I've ever said it in Hindi to them, or anyone else.

Eek. I hate dreams like yours, Holly. You always wake up right when something terrible is going to happen. I've dreamt of falling but as usual, the dream ends right before I hit the ground. It wasn't recurring though.

I always say "sweet dreams" to my brother.

My dreams are usually pleasant. Therefore, when I was 8 years old I kept getting that nightmare of a huge octopus that was under my bed. laugh.gif

I only say goodnight to:

Holly
My Sisters
My Dad
My Mom
Grace

I only say sweet dreams to:

Holly

I only say I love you too:

Holly
My Sisters
My Mom

reoccurring dreams:

I used to have a dream about a tower. It was like a very well lit white ivory tower, and it had a spiral staircase almost like a lighthouse... I'm walking up this star case and just about every 10-20 seconds I see a door to my left. Every time I open a door there is something different in it. is Some doors are like regular rooms, and some doors are like gate ways to a different universe. I keep walking up and eventually I get to this one door. It looks different from the rest. It's the same color as all the others doors, but somehow it looks different, and I know it is.

So, I open the door. This room is a large room that appears small because its crowded by stacks upon stacks of antique books battered and beaten from being studied and the moisture collecting in the room. The room is lit up by candles that are sitting at the top of just about every other stack of antique books. There's a wood desk sitting in the center of the room with books piled all over it.

I can see the shadow of a humanoid creature on the wall. It looks as if he's tediously studying behind the books cluttered around the edges of the desk. I decide to take a closer look, and walk over to the desk. I look over the edge of the stacks of books piled around the edges of the desk almost like a giant peering over the walls of a castle.

Theres an old, small, pale (almost white), well dressed creature with a large sharp toothed and devious grin staring right into my eyes. I can tell he wants to eat me. My dream immediately become a nightmare. He has long fingers skinny fingers almost like spider legs rise from the pages of the book he's studying as firmly plants his scrawny hands against the edge of his desk in efforts to get up and out of his ancient chair.

I dash out of the room, and slam the door behind me. With my back pressed against the door, I see the door nob slowly twist. So I start to run up the steps only to reach the final door at very top of the tower. I look behind me. The creatures hands are moving along the sides of the walls like spiders as he slowly but steadily walks up the stairs.

I'm cornered, and the only way out is threw that door. I open the door. It's completely white. So white that it completely blinds me, and I wake up from the dream.

I guess I just say goodnight to my mom and then give her a hug ermm.gif

One time I had a dream I was at a funeral and could only see the guy's face and no one around him and then a couple days later i saw him in the Obits. Scary stuff.

Reoccuring dreams would be people dying in my house. It's weird stuff. Sometimes my house looks different, but it's always someone dying in my closet.

No, I'm not this morbid in real life. Only in my dreams.

I don't say good night to my brother all that often. :T
For my mom, I usually just say good night to her before closing my door and going to bed. When I was younger (before I turned 12 or so?) we used to hug and kiss each other, then wish each other sweet dreams.

Atleast your not that morbid in real life, I scare myself sometimes. If I use anything I always think of a way that someone could be killed or injured by it, and I really don't want to think about it but it happens pinch.gif if I dreamed about it all the time I would be a little scared, it would be like watching saw 3 with new ideas constantly. I usually just look over to my roommate and say good night. At home, I say goodnight and I love you to my parents and sister.

I don't really have a reoccurring dream. I have the same people in my dreams but never the same one.

How do you say good night to others?
i don't really say good night to anyone anymore...i used to say good night to everyone in my house, like hugging them good night, and telling my parents "good night" in vietnamese. when i'm saying good night to people online, i just simply say "good night" or "sweet dreams" or whatever.

Have you ever had a recurring dream/nightmare?
i always seem to have the falling dream.

Ah, yeah that's what I meant. At least my typo didn't make sense. Or people would be thinking I was some weirdo who thinks about death all the time. My dreams used to freak me out when I was little and when I'd have bad dreams about someone being hurt or dying I'd be going about my everyday and then think "Omg, the garage door is going to come crashing down on someone" lol it was weird. But I rarely remember my dreams. I just hope that it's not true that our dreams have some signs in them.

Hmm I don't think so because I use to have dreams of my grandpa and people I really care about dying and I don't think it ever meant for them to die in real life. Just show that you know you really love them and if they were to ever go then you would miss them dearly. Maybe you were going to miss something or something weird.

Dreams are odd like that pinch.gif

I just say good night.

As for the reoccuring dream, I had this one dream that I had quite a lot. But not anymore. And I can't remember what it is. >_<

Most of my dreams have to do with an adventure of some sort. I'm either walking with a friend around some place, or I'm by myself searching for something/someone.
