New Mission 03/17/07

So far The Unholy Trinity has been given a bad reputation as being disrespectful and crude, but actually we are here to speak freely without fear of hostility or reprimand. Not to say that we are miscreants, but rather revolutionaries on a mission of liberation for the free thinking mind. The idea that all members of this site must conform to an emotionless state of almost mechanical etiquette is a declination of uniqueness and all human rights. Our mission, nay our crusade is based on the belief that all should be able to speak free and clear without looking behind their shoulder for a tyrannical authority figure in need of a name for themselves.

Simply put, members of The Firm are expected to:

1. stand up for community members who are being bashed
2. support fellow members
3. complete assigned tasks
4. speak their minds
5. have no fear of reprimand
6. contribute to both CB and The Firm.
7. have fun

You must find your own path. We do not accept applications. All are welcome to try, and many will enter into the Firm. We do not choose, rather it is through your own skill and admonition that you will be allowed to become one of our followers. To walk the path you must show interest in the JUC.

Simply put, to join The Unholy Trinity:

1. PM Uronacid, JakeKKing, or The Abominable C-Pillar
2. we will interview you.
3. you get accepted.

Follow the path, we will choose only the most devoted followers to rise in within the tiers of The Unholy Trinity.

Extra Ways to get EXP:

• Recruit a New member:

Tiers: All tiers are achieved and completed after a number of missions have been finalized and experience points have been gathered. There will be absolutely no tier jumping. For example...If you have just been accepted into the Unholy Trinity you now are a believer. If you post anything that a moderator finds suggestive; let this be know that there will be no immediate award or tier jump given when you receive a temporary ban or moderator preview. We will fairly judge your commitment to The Firm and give awards and promotions to those who deserve them.

Whatever our warnings are, it's not a big deal. I had fun bashing krnxswat, and I had fun making fun of Statues/Shadows. In my opinion, both of these members consistently criticize others without reprimand and deserve it. You may think otherwise if you like. I understand why I was warned, but saying what I said to those members was completely worth it in my eyes.

People are criticizing us, and they don't even know what we're about. I worked long as hard making this with Jake, Jeremy, Cat, and Dianna. We don't want to see it go under either. This club is definitely about helping the community. We aren't out to cause trouble. Also, If you don't want to see it turn into a debate then please don't publicly "quote-reply-quote-reply" as if you are in one and then tell me that you will close our thread for replying to skeptics (like yourself). rReply in the same fashion Mona did simple, short, and to the point. We are only in CB to have fun, and make it a better place. You'll see, give us a chance.

Also, if you had the post that we were talking about (which was edited, thank you false.), you would know why we were replying to him about it. "false." had posted an indirect link to tubgirl, the lemonparty, and one of the other gross-out-sites telling us that the Unholy Trinity was already taken by them. If it hadn't been on our front page I don't think we would have replied so much, but it's is done and over with now.

It's only fair that I'm able to publicly reply to you because you publicly replied to me. If you would like to continue this please reply to me via PM. I don't think it needs to be. If you would like to have fun and joke around without threatening to close our thread then feel free to do so.

We are only here to have fun, and if you would like to join you are more than welcome. I realize that much of your post was sarcastic, but I'm not joking around. I'm very serious about turning this club into something that will make the community into a better place, and I hate to see something that me and a few other members have worked so hard to create thrown into the internet dumpster.

Thank you for understanding. I appreciate that you tried to lighten up the mood by adding your disclaimer. Although, I don't think it was enough. A simple, "Hi, good luck with your club guys. Just don't over do it." would have been just as effective. I do agree, you haven't done anything wrong, and I respect your freedom of speech. The Firm is what the members are joining. The members can rise withing the ranks of The Firm. The Firm is the actual collective of members (including the trinity). The Unholy Trinity is the top rank within The Firm. We are here to make CB a better place for all, and to chill out and have some fun.

Well, many people on this site are overly critical, and it encourages new members to leave or stop sharing their thoughts and ideas. I would like to make this club to encourage new members to stay and contribute to the community.

Well, it looks as though our little group, firm, collective, whatever is not being as widely accepted as we had hoped. I believe the original idea behind the group was to just have fun without worrying about the consequences. Obviously whats fun for one may not be for others. That's of course where these rules come in.

More of a guesstimate) of the people on this site come here in complete anonymity and prefer to stay that way. And why is that? The whole trinity, firm, whatever had its roots set in fun. It's a fact of human nature that it's fun to make fun of others. It truly is. And I'm no stranger to getting made fun of. It happens constantly at my job. But what do I do? Do I piss and moan and cry and "quit"(haha)? No. I reciprocate. It's a beatiful idea and a fun technique. And that is basically my idea of what this group is and should be.

But I could and probably am wrong.

So join if you want. Or don't. Everyone can join. Everyone and anyone. If Sean Ho were still on, he could join and we'd probably rise him through the ranks fast. If you want to think of us as assinine,glory seeking fake rebels on a path of self righteousness with nothing better to do than type out insults and mockeries behind our wall of protection, by all means, please do and tell us. I can't speak for everyone, but I WANT to know when I'm an a-hole. I'm happy to be an a-hole. I wake up each morning with fresh ideas of assholiness. If you feel you're not getting your moneys worth and want to try something new, even if it's temporary, please join and help us grow more spiritually, intellectually, verbally. sociably, monetarily, and other ..ly words that I don't have the patience or the vocabulary to recount right now. Actually, one of the things I like most about cB is the fact that I know a majority, if not all, of the active members here on a first-name basis. If I notice that I don't know a user's name, I set out to fix that. In fact, in your post and frequently on AIM you refer to me as libertie or lib and I must say it takes some getting used to when I'm not being referred to as "Dani" (clarification: I'm not complaining, just saying it's a funny thing that sticks out to me when people call me by my screenname)! I actually like how cB is a pretty tightly knit group of people (or, as it stands right now, several tightly knit groups of people) and quite possibly the fact that you're being met with such "oppression" could be because you haven't yet found a way to integrate your group in with the rest of the community. My point is that people at cB don't as much hide behind anonymity as you're implying - many are very open and several are now close friends off the forums (phone, skype, AIM).

That having been said, why the no bashing rule? As you can tell by the reactions you've gotten from the community to some of your comments, people get ticked when they're being trolled. Your point, "Because one person's idea of fun differs from anothers doesn't mean that fun should be abolished." ... When has that EVER worked? I don't like it when my upstairs neighbor has friends over at 4am and they beat on the floor (my ceiling) and play loud music. Clearly, they're having a lot of fun, and clearly I am miffed about not being able to sleep. Am I wrong, then, for believing that they should be more quiet, thus potentially ruining their "fun"? Surely, of course, there are forums in existence (I've been to a few) where people can mess around and throw jabs at each other, but the atmosphere at this particular community doesn't allow for that type of behavior.

Everyone deserves a say in this community. I think that libertie brings up a good point, but libertie, you have to understand that most of the things that Jeremy will write are just to yank your chain or make you squirm. By replying the way you did, he's only going to make up something that will make you squirm even more.

I don't think people quite understand that 'Having a say', doesn't mean 'Every idea that is put forward get's implemented, and everyone is held in the same regard, with no attention being paid to their past.' It also doesn't mean that every club, or society, or thread will be held in the same esteem, and nor will every member. Everyone starts out equal, but thing schange if you show that you don't deserve it.

No one is being told that they cannot have a say, or that you cannot express your opinions. Go for it. But accept that those choices will cloud people's perceptions of you, and if you are detracting from other people's enjoyment, then you will be dealt with. It is how you react to that which makes the difference.

There is no real point acting like it's a struggle for free speech, when you had it to begin with, and sacraficed you're right to be taken seriously through your own actions.

All of these arguments in our directly relate to our team/club thing. They are defending our clubs integrity. Its not spam, and most of the posts in here are more than 2-3 sentences long. You will see how successful this club will be. I promise.

haha. Josh, if only you would debate like this with us at work, we'd probably begin to believe you. I completely agree. It is very stupid and hypocritical to accuse us of a spam thread when it is your own group doing the spamming. That's like a farmer striking his cow for poor milk when he feeds it dog food(Search for the metaphor. It's there if you're smart enough).

As far as me being "told", I agree with what was said to an extent, but I did say I may be and probably am wrong. Plus there is kind of a difference between internet fun and tangible, real life fun.
Anyways, lets try to keep this post to what it originally was which was to welcome any potential members. As far as selective membership, it is in my understanding that all you have to do is PM Josh, Jake, or Me(I'm not on often so Josh or Jake) and you are accepted regardless of who you are. That is the whole "interview" process as Josh put it. If you want to join, great. If not, don't. But if you have no interest in the club, don't try to tell us how we can make it better, it's good enough.

But we do want deconstructive criticism.

I think that there's a common misconception among a large amount of members that Createblog.com is treated as a country with a democracy in which the people have control and follow the rules of the United States or something. I'm sorry, but this isn't a democracy. It's a website. No, you really don't have complete freedom of speech. There are consequences for what you say. You cannot bash other members, no matter how fun you think it is. That's it. You can't fight it. You may think that's stupid, but that's too bad, because that's the way it is. You have to be cordial, or you can leave. This argument comes up about every 2-3 months and it's ridiculous. There will be friendly communication, and I don't think that's something that should be discouraged. Also, as a sidenote, you chose the "cB Liberals" topic as one of your examples of spam, and I'd like to point out that while a good portion of the posts are "can I join" and "yay so and so joined", now that it has its foundation, we've had a good several posts that have actual substance. It's less of a club and more of a place to discuss politics from a more liberal perspective. Also, the point is to bring more activity to the debate forum, which may not be happening yet, but I'd like it if that did happen. Just wondering why you chose that topic out of all your examples, because it actually has a clearly stated point, not just "we're ___ let's gather here!"

It was nothing against you Libertie. It was only directed towards the staff members talking about spam, and if you would like me to remove the link I would be glad to. There was no reason for posting that link that post other than to prove a point (to stop bringing up the spam issue). You defend you post, I was only making a point.

I think that there's a common misconception among a large amount of members that Createblog.com is treated as a country with a democracy in which the people have control and follow the rules of the United States or something. I'm sorry, but this isn't a democracy. It's a website. No, you really don't have complete freedom of speech. There are consequences for what you say. You cannot bash other members, no matter how fun you think it is. That's it. You can't fight it. You may think that's stupid, but that's too bad, because that's the way it is. You have to be cordial, or you can leave. This argument comes up about every 2-3 months and it's ridiculous. I don't know why no one can deal with following rules and think they're some revolutionary because they're fighting against it. Again, terribly sorry, but it's been done before, time and time again. You're not bringing up a new point; on the contrary, the point is quite moot. You can't just say anything you want and that's all. Please get over yourselves and deal with it.

Where does it say that we bash others in our first post? I would like to understand where you guys are getting that idea? We aren't talking about bashing when it comes to free speech, we're talking about the way that people are on this site. Members criticize you and tear your ideas apart unless you conform to a close-minded state that this community tends to show far to often. This post is nothing but the ideas of several members (not just Jake, Jeremy, and I) fused together, and you people consistently criticize us for it. I don't see what's so wrong with that, but apparently the community does:

• Have we bashed people in this topic? No, we have been very defensive. People continue to attack us over and over again.
  
• Have we done anything wrong? No, is the "community" attacking us for being creative? Yes, it's many of the senior members on this site hating on something that's new, and every post you people make proves this point. Is this "create"blog? No wonder this site is dying!
  
• We have been cordial in this club. Yes, you could join if you wanted to. We have been defensive because people haven't been cordial to us.
  
• Are you being cordial? No, you're being critical, and if you don't want to be nice on our thread (which is all we ask) then don't bother posting. A simple "hello, guys how are you, and what are you about?" would have been fine. No, I guess not. You're just another senior member coming in to criticize us. This only proves my point "That many this communities senior members are critical and closed-minded" even further.
  
• We do deal with the rules, and we accept our discipline when we deserve it. Yes, both Jeremy and Jake received "mod preview" for 14 days, understood the reason for their discipline, and accepted the consequences for their actions.
  
• We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We know that. We are doing this for fun.
  
• You are right, you can't say anything you want, but it would be nice to express yourself without being critiqued and torn apart by the the senior members of this site. Maybe that's why I created this club.

Id like to push to the trinity members an idea that Josh had mentioned durring the hiring what ideas we have to make new members to Createblog actualy want to come back. Besides that this site offers layouts and such.How can we as a whole make new members actualy become official members and make them feel comfortable enough to post without feeling stupid?

We are going to offer missions in our club that encourage people to contribute to the community. This is going to be the way people will rise in the ranks. New missions will appear every week.

• I will grade your posts and based upon the quality of your posts you will receive up to 10 experience points.

The tomato is quite possibly the least honest food there is. It lies constantly. The carotenoid Lycopene has been discovered to reduce the risk of certain kinds of cancer. Who the hell do they think they are!! Cancer is a normal part of human life and it should not be prevented, but accepted(if anyone has cancer or knows someone with cancer, EAT TOMATOES BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!).
