2 weeks later, it's midterms and we're getting dismissed early. So after dismissal, I'm thinking about visiting a high school in my old town (so I can meet all my former friends there and hang out) .. do they accept visitors? when's a good time go visit? also do high schools allow visitors? cuz there's no point visiting there during their school day .. they'll all be in classes and etc ..

1. Call the school and ask.

2. If you don't know the phone number, go to the school's website.

3. If the school does not have a website, Google your school district and get their number (school districts SHOULD have a website) and ask for the high school's phone number.

Really, this all depends on the individual high school.

*sigh*

As for when to visit, call your friends and ask them when they get out of school.

I think you should call them first, as Mona said. They'd probably think you were cutting or something.

Usually there is security, so you'd have to have a reason why you're at the school. I'd visit after they get out.

Oh, you might need a visitor pass. I tried to do that, with my niece's high school lol. I was bored. But I got in trouble, since I didn't attend the school at all. >_<''

Anyway, if you're visiting WHILE the school is in session, you should call one of your former teachers that wouldn't mind having you visit, and then get them to allow you to come in. An acquaintance of mines did that. Same goes for my sister. :P

But yea, it depends on the school itself.

Heh, we have no school next friday due to finals/end of semester. A lot of people attempt to visit the middle school across the street but we had to sneak around once because if they found you they kicked you out. Because you were 'disturbing' the learning.

edit/ so i suggest that you contact the school or something or at least stop by the office and pick up a pass, like what others have said. people come in all the time to visit teachers. i'm not sure what else they do though, but they do have passes.

It would depend on the school...call the school, or ask your friends about their policy. At my school, though, people are pretty much free to enter, since teachers can't even tell if you go to the school or not. *shrug*

My school always allow alumni and visiters and they can even join our classes...probably your school can too.

When I was in high school it had a pretty strict vistor policy, both during school and after. You had to report to the main office and unless you were a parent or it was an emergency you couldn't visit or come get students out of class.

Yeah, it really depends on the school and where you are. I mean, smaller schools will probably be more lenient than a school in a bad neighborhood. If I tried to go visit a Madison or Milwaukee school they'd probably have to search me first pinch.gif
