I looked through and didn't see anything on it,
so here I go:

can you somehow stretch the background image?
because I have a wallpaper that I want to put as a background,
but it shows up small when I want it to take up the whole background.
is there any code or way I can do this?
(the image is 1024x768)

There is no code to do it. You have to resize it in a program.

I did resize it, and then I uploaded it to photobucket with the exact same results.
I don't know why the size will not change :/
that's what I was wondering

Which program did you use to resize it? Make sure that you saved it right and don't have the URL for the old image as your background.

did you refresh your page fully?

also did you make sure the settings on photobucket were correct when uploading? - i think by default they upload at a max size 800X600, so change it to max 1mb (if you're on a free account), and then re-upload your picture. the settings are just below the upload form.

You don't upload at photobucket thats why. Photobucket resizes huge images.
