Optimistic.
I dream about my future too much. And, well, some people say that it's never gonna happen, but I'm always determined to achieve my dreams.

I only think realistically in class or whatever. And I'm hardly ever pessimistic unless something is making me sad or depressed.

Realistic doesnt always have to be pessimistic . pessimism is based on atitude . im equally both realistic and optimistic . i`ve been meditating this for awhile .

Optimistic. People always state the negative and I'll be like "BUT WHAT IF THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN?!" I always bring up the what if's. Not that that's always a good thing........

I tend to be overly optimistic. Though in another sense, I do tend to be realistic. I'm one of those people that cancel myself out.

I like to be optimistic, but I am also realistic at the same time. I don't hope for a positive result when I know something bad is probably going to come out of my actions.

Yay I voted the tie-breaker lol.
Before I used to be a TOTAL optimist..then I realized I get too irritated to be an optimist so I turned into a realist. Woot woot!

We have another tie. happy.gif I'd rather be an optimist, despite the cynic in me wanting to be realistic, I'm such a damn sucker for those "rags to riches" stories.

Optimistic.

I think of what we as people can do to make the world a better place. I try to make worst situations best as possible. However, sometimes i may not care and start to get realistic...

I'm pretty much solid realist,
but in relationships I'm optomistic.

and realism is not pessimism.
trust me. my best friend and my ex are pessimists.

you dont have to be pesimistic to be realistic

some people just go overboard with their optimism to unrealistic standards
but i always considered myself a realistic optimist

I just realized today that I'm an extreme in both depending on the situation. I can be overly optimistic, whereas I can do things I know I can't do (like Jedi and Ninja stuff), and sometimes I don't believe there's hope at all... (Like my friend who's trying to be a model, mind you she's 160 lbs....)

I'd have to agree with Heather.
I am realistic, but not in a pesimistic way. In more of an Optimistic way. happy.gif

I'm a weird combination of both.

I try my best to be optimistic,
but sometimes my first thought is a realistic one.

Realistic.
If I'm ever optimistic, it's probably for humor.

I'd say I'm more of a pessimist, but since that isn't up there, realist it is then.

I get random bursts of optimism though... but only when what I'm hoping for isn't likely to happen.

I consider myself to be inbetween.

When things don't seem too good, I'll be optimistic about the outcome, but I don't have false hope and lose sight of what's really going on.

Optimistic. 1mma dreamer and have faith that things will work out. Only downside is that 1 get disappointed when it doesn't. Needless to say sucks.

I don't get why if the number two team plays the number one team and loses, as expected, the number two team should drop to 17th nationally. Sports shit makes no sense to me.

Anyway...

Actually, this optimism thing isn't really working for me. I have to be realistic, or I just get my hopes up, which makes things worse. If I have no faith in my ability to succeed at something, then I don't be nearly as disappointed when it doesn't happen.

Hmmm, I'm usually a realistic person when it comes to a lot of things,
I like being able to grasp things that are possible rather then go
"YEAAAAH!! I'MMA GET ME A FLYING CAR AND A PRINCE
CHARMING WITH A WHITE HORSE AND GO TO ALASKA
IN SHORTS WHILE I'M STILL 10!!"

With friends and occationally family I'm usually playfully optomistic in
our conversations as they take the pessimistic side of the argument..

But I recall a time when I was actually used to be quite optomistic
until my first major incounter with relationship freaked the
shelter'd 8th grade version of me out so much
I've pretty much stuck to being realistic about things.
