your eyes wouldn't bulge at the sides
and your lips wouldn't move to whistle
and your teeth wouldn't slice the air in talk
you would more likely be drugged
into a haze of boredom
and fall on your face in the daylight

in laughter at you, not me
and when they dragged you away
i'd just sit there waiting for the next one
