Um, well, I got my cartilage pierced (actually, I pierced it myself, but it didn't get infected or anything, but...) and I took it out about a month later because I thought my mom might see it (and she would have made me take it out anyway... and probably ground me) and I already know that the bump of scar tissue is normal, but does it ever go away? and is it possible to pierce over it in the future?

No it won't go away. You probably played with it too much, so the scar tissue formed. I believe you can pierce it again. I think it'll hurt more than the first time, though.

Honestly I wouldn't know... I'm not going to get any more piercings other than maybe.... BIG maybe.... a second hole in the lobe. I haven't had the best history when it comes to earings.... first time I got the lobes pierced, they got infected and closed up... ermm.gif so yeah I'm sticking with the ones I gots now...

I have scars that are bumps like that. Mainly because my ears have been peirced so many times and some of them didn't heal right. I still have bumps from 4-5 years ago. They won't ever 100% go away but they will get smaller just like regular scars do. Sometimes they get sensitive so I wouldn't recommend getting peirced where there's a scar. It will more than likely be more painful and take longer to heal if it will even heal right.

I don't see why it wouldn't go away. All other scars fade away with time. But then again it was on bone, so..

I think it would fade. My ex-friend pierced my ear with the ear ring and it didn't get infected or anything. You could probably re-pierce it in the future. I don't think it'll hurt as much as the first 'cause your tissue probably have healed &yeas.
