stubborn.gif What kind of sadistic a-hole would do that to a kid? He practically ran almost a mile for that water.

Just wanted to share.

Yeah, but that's just one guy out of many. That's the problem. Everyone wants to generalize Americans. You can't. We're all different. That's the beauty of America.

And I've never "wondered" why people hate Americans. It's because we sit here and take everything for granted, we're a filthy rich nation, and we have freedom. Jealousy is the reason most countries hate us.

yeah I watched the video of the soldier playing soccer with the children. I just hope that more of the soldiers stop torturing Iraquis like that. They're there to help organize Iraq and make it a better country.

I can tell by the shade of his utilities that he's a soldier and not a Marine, but thats beside the point.

The "War in Iraq" is more or less a deathtrap for Americans. I'd do it if I had nothing better to do but ride on the back of a convoy patrol with a M240G. Why? Because one of my closest friends was shot and killed because he was giving an 8 year old child something to eat and the bastard triggered a bomb and killed himself and my friend.

I have no remorse. Make the muthafucka run.

I don't think you should judge a country/people because of one person who did something wrong. Your friend knew he would be in danger. He was doing his job. Soldiers' know they are risking their lives by joining the military. Many people have died in the military because they were doing thier jobs.
They were also helping a poverty-stricken nation, who needed us to go into their country and help them; even if some people didn't agree with the American's actions and decided to take thie own action.
What that person did to your friend was wrong. I understand how that would be troubling for you to have someone close to die. But, once again, your friend knew what he was doing and what danger he was going to be in by even joining the military.

But in the same way, why would everyone else judge American soldiers for the actions of a few? The media has mostly been reporting only in the hardest-hit areas, and definitely not all soldiers are cruel.

Not to be rude or anything, but the Iraqis shouldn't depend on Americans to give them what they need. A lot of times the Iraqis use kids to lure in the troops so they can hurt the Americans. I think there would be less hostility towards Iraqis from American soldiers if they didn't give the soldiers the wrong impressions about themselves. I'm not saying what that person did wasn't mean.

Yeah, everyone hates everbody else. Everyone makes stereotypes. It's human nature. People say "Oh, it's so rude that people make stereotypes about people from America" and then they go by some stupid stereotype about someone from another country. Grow up.
Plus, that's war. It's not nice.

really? are you so ignorant that you believe that in order to help, you must join the military? hmm, maybe i would consider it (not really, but i'm just saying..) if i SUPPORTED the cause. FYI, i'm only 16-years-old, therefore i can't do much.

"i ain't doin' shit"? as a matter of a fact, my high school has a support the troops club where we raise money and accept donations from a list of various items that the troops in Iraq need and ask for. we've been doing it since the war started, and sent over 300 care packages last year. i sure as hell am doing more for the troops than you are. mmk, thanks.

like i said before, it makes me sick to know that people like you are protecting our country.

Don't dig yourself into a hole that you can't get out of. Did it ever occur to you that by raising money and accepting donations to give to "us," you support everything you just hated on in this thread?

of course we are corrupt.
but you are just adding to the noise.
instead of helping by trying to help change things, you are just running away.
yeah, that'll really help things alot.

I'm a supporter of George Bush. and why am I going to hell?
I'm sorry, I don't remember making him my God.
these are increasingly difficult times,
and I think he is doing the best he can.
did you vote? if you didn't vote don't complain.
because you really didn't do anything against it but complain,
so keep quiet please unless you helped to contribute.
because seriously.
that's like complaining because of global warming
because you use aeresol hairspray every morning.
but at least there you contributed something.

I'm obviously an advocate of voting..ehe

Politics isn't my forte, but in the quote stated above, there's a point to be made. It's just that America is the most powerful of them all and even just-so-happened to notice how much Americans have abused their luxury. I mean, there are other countries in the world who need help. Like take Africa for example, there are alot of people who'd love to have just a glass of clean water, but they can't. Instead of investing in the war, wouldn't it be better to do something better with all the money?

Although, I must say that he did ask to be in that position (as president), but I guess he was acting on basic instict with the war. Think of it as having someone close to you being killed and thinking could've done something to stop it. Now multiply it by hundreds and maybe thousands[9/11]. It's like being a father to America.

So yeah. I'm going to shrink back into a corner. *waves canadian flag* In general, we're really nice! It's just, don't stick around people to long, you'll see their bad sides xD

And to set the records straight for anyone: We don't live in igloos.

I'm an American like him, but I don't have the evil heart to do that. Well, I'm good person. This is so wrong. This is one of the reasons that the world hates America. The world needs to know that one American man does not represent the entire Americans, us. We're different. We're individual. We came from a multicultural country.

Yup, I agree with her and Brandon Saunders. Iraq is it's own country and it's about time they start to get up on thier own feet. We've been in there too long and shit has been happening too much to a cause that's leading nowhere. It's kind of stupid running for some water when you can somehow get some from different resources. I understand the town is devastated and all, but c'mon, you don't have to run after a truck. It's like what WHIMSICAL ONE said, what the person did wasn't mean...

I laughed...lol

That kid was running forever man.. I love at the end, I was thinking " THIS KID IS THE WINNER " and thn the guy drops the water (rofl) and the kid slows down. BAM! Thats when the other kids pop out of no where to jump him.

I can run a mile in under 8 minutes anyday though..rofl at all the people hating the "corrupt" that fight for us.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3sxop1-PkI I watched that video right, and after like 20 seconds I was just waiting like.... yo when is the soldier going to mess with the kids or something (I.E. pop the ball, take it away, kick the ball in their face)
