Did You Have Sex ed Before Experiencing Puberty? Options

Well, it has come to my attention that a lot of you young(er) girls have several questions about your period? I was wondering if you guys and girls ever had a sex ed class as young as in the 5th grade? I was one of the fortunate kids in a urban city to have sex ed in the 5th grade. It really helped out a lot.
In high school, we were also required to take it in our sophomore year as part of the requirement that each kid in my school needs to graduate. Funny how they get us like that

So...when did you have sex ed? Or did you never take that class?

I had talks about period and stuffs in 5th grade, but girls and guys were divided. The guys learned their thing, and the girls learned theirs, but I'd already gotten my period then and knew about it..so I thankfully didn't scream that I was bleeding to death, lol. In 7th grade, for health, we actually had sex-ed and learned about the male and female organs, plus we weren't divided by gender. I think in sophmore year for high school, I have to learn about diseases and stuffs...but I'm exactly a sophmore yet, so if this thread is still open by that time, I'll tell you. Which I don't think it will...

I know that when I learned it in elementary school, we touched upon the very basics. Then in junior high school, we had health every year. It was only taken seriously because my 6th grade living environment/bio teacher was the health instructor for my class. And then in the 7th grade, I had a computer teacher as my health instructor...and all we learned about was the Human Immuno-deficiency Virus.
Now in high school, we all spend a least one week a year retouching upon STDs and a healthy teen living. But this is part of our gym class. One week of no lockers, woohoo =D Okay that went off in a tangent... =x

We had TAP in 5th grade. Totally Awsome puberty. lol. They split up the boys and girls when talking about periods and genitals. then they brought us back together. Then before that all through elementary school we would watch those videos about sexually harrassment..those videos were funny. My body's nobody's body but mine i have my body and you have your too. There was this one video when the boy's uncle was molesting him and then another one with these two kids were playing ball and the ball rolled over to this man and he pulled down his pants.

But I've seen a lot of threads about girls asking questions about their periods, like if it were normaly to have an irregular period, etc. I thought everyone had sex ed. Turned out I was wrong. No one takes that class seriously, anyways :P

Yeah, I had Sex Ed. (K.Y.B.; Know Your Body) in 5th grade. It was a nightmare. We had the most immature boys you could ever imagine, who were complete jerks. And, guess what? They didn't separate the different sexes. Oh joy! And all we learned about was girl stuff , so it was like, "separate girls and boys, please!" Unfortunatly boys and girls together, learned about periods, STD, aides, growing breasts, bras, growing hips, etc. Mostly girl stuff, anyway. Ugh, that was the class everybody dreaded... -_-

But now all the perverted guys are like, "when are we gonna have Sex Ed. again? That class was mad educational, yo." Wow, looks like the guys haven't changed much... >_<

actually, in 5th grade, we had the 'growing up program' for 3 days.. about an hour each day. there we learned reg. stuff.. we talked about everything, but didnt go in dept. then in 6th, we had a whole marking perioid of health, instead of phys. ed. and one week was assigned to 'growing up program'. (sex ed) there we learned the same thing but expanded a bit more. I think 5th grade was a good place to start.

my class (2009) was supposed to take it in 6th grade, but then we "didnt have time" but then in 7th grade my teacher sed the girls in our class laughed at that kinda stuff too much, or whatever...the boys watched the videos and stuff..and learned stuff, but we ended up not having it..and NOW may have to take it in 8th grade.. i wonder if the boys have to take it again?
