South Park! The Chinese dude in the Mongolians episodee!
![]() He pronounced city as "shetty" and Mongolian as "Mongorian." Pronounce think as "tink." That's how my mom says it. And no as.. "naoo". Umm sorta. And maybe say something like "aii yaaa" (It means.. "Oh my gosh!" in Mandarin, I think) or "waaa" (I think that's how you say wow in Mandarin.) once in a while. ![]() I wouldn't really know that much.. My friends say that I don't sound like an Asian at all. ![]() |

![]() And.. don't use those common words like the, don't, will, can, can't, etc. IE: I [can] speak perfect English-y. And like, say WEIIII or ayee a lot. |

Practice makes perfect. Go out there and talk with parents or go to Chinatown. I would just go to a friends' house and have a conversation in Engilsh with them.

Just add random CHING CHANG CHONGs into whatever you say.
For example: "Madam, can you tell me where the CHING CHANG CHONG bathroom is?" |

Say aiii-yahh a lot. Mix up your grammar. Make things plural. Confuse past and present tense. Watch Yan Can Cook and that Crazy Asian Mother video on YouTube.

Basically:
- prounounce "I" as "Ah" - cut off ending consonants often - think short, abrupt sounds - making your vowel "i"'s sound like "ee" (i.e., think = theenk) - exaggerate tone differences, try and use strange accents on various syllables and words Regular: "I don't know what you're talking about." Chinese: "Ah do no wut youuu ah taw-keeng ahbowt." |

get your l's and r's a bit confused.
dont' always finish saying a word. instead of "world," say worl. randomly act frustrated with a word and then blurt it out in chinese and be like AH, like -english word- just accent random things, watch fobby things on youtube, you'll do great. |

A few more things to add:
- stress on wrong syllables in a word - utter every syllable in a word seperately - add "ah", "la" or "lor" to the end of your sentences |

Oh, and if you're planning to say any letters, pay close attention to these ones:
- F: "eff" regular, "EFFu" in Chinese accent. - H: "eiksch" regular, "AKE-chue" in Chinese accent - L: "elle" regularly, "ELLE-o" in a Chinese accent. - R: "are" regular, "ARE-lo" in Chinese accent. This is mostly for Cantonese, though. |
