anyone here listen to J-Pop? R&B ? Jazz? Options

umm i was just wondering ....my ear is starting to mature almost everyday now ....and i`ve just noticed how more asian music tends to be so much bettter on chords , progressions ... voicings and changes ...they know a hell of alot better on composing and arranging rather then some american music . but the thing that they lack are the improvisation . but anyways enough of my rattle tattle , i`d like to know alot of Japanese Artists that sound good ....specifically R&B , Funk Rock , and Jazz . I only know of BoA who is R&B Ayumi Hamasaki and U. Hikaru which sounds a little poppsish = / . umm Akeboshi ? hmmm i dunno . help me out
