Most of my female friends feel that early 20's is a good age, but i dont know about guys.
I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 19. We've been dating for over a year and a half and I would love to runaway and get married tonight- but thats not happening. So putting aside finical problems and what not, what age would you men pefer to get married? Also what is a good amount of time to be dating before marriage? |

Hmm. --> Relationships?
My sister and her boyfriend (sister is 22, her boyfriend is 23) have been going out for a little more than a year now and they've already discussed marrage, kids, and stuff like that. They want to get married next year or the year after. I think a couple of years after college would be a good age. A couple of years after going out is a good time to get engaged. Well, it actually depends on how old you are, but if you're like 20 then maybe 2 or 3 years? I dunno.. |

I would say... when both people are ready... you can't put an age on that stuff. 25-30 is adverage and I probably won't get married until then, but if you're ready when your 20 why not?
What makes you ready? |

Why am i ready? Man oh man, I could write several paragraphs on that subject. Some people have goals in their life they want to do before they 'settle down' and it is important that they do those goals- otherwise that could hurt the relationship. For example some women i know what to have a career and such before they get married.
But for me the one thing i would really love to do is get married and have children. I’m already halfway through college and I have realized what I am going to school for is nice- but I’d rather be a house wife. Lol. So for me i found a guy i care for deeply and would like to pursue a life with him, i go to him when in need and when i am happy. Not only is he my boyfriend but he is also my best friend. I know how cheesy that really sounds, but its true- we were friends first and a relationship built from that. But in the end I will most likely end up waiting till he is 25 or older, he wants to wait. So I will be 26. And that would be just fine as well. |

By the way, just because you get married doesn't mean that you'll immediately start having kids. Thus, it's not absolutely necessary to finish college and get a stable job before you get married in order to be able to support a family :)

Marriage is a big step. I don't know if your early 20's is good time to get married. Besides financial issues your still at a young age and I mean you should really expierence more of life before spending it with someone the rest of your life. I think a good 2-3 years of dating will get a good relationship strong for marriage.

whenever you're ready to settle down and be set for the rest of your life with one person. but also agewise, it shouldn't be too far down the road cuz you'll need to be energetic and active when it comes to handling kids.
