nOOb's thank you., First Div & MySpace page Options

Hello everyone, just signed up for the forums today, but I've been reading them from top to bottom over the last week or so concerning how to make div's for my MySpace page. I realize I haven't had enough posts or time in grade so to speak to be entered in the showcase but I'd like you to check it out and tell me what you think.

I still have several sections to add, my idea is to make it kind of like a readers digest of inspiring quips, quotes, and stories of encouragement.

Eh I've seen better out there for peoples first, its okay though. The colors are nice. All the little tables on the left that have part of a navigation need to be moved more to the right, so their in the bigger table and not out of it by a little bit. Same for the about the music div, needs to be moved to the left just a bit. I don't think you should have put white as the background color in so many divs, it makes them stick out like a sore thumb, perhaps just make the backgrounds transparent.
Lastly, all the quotes to ponder on the font is really huge, I suggest making it smaller. Their pretty much a sore thumb too. And it just takes up space that doesn't need to be taken.

Anyway other than all of that, its your first Div. You still need some practice. I'm sure after a while you'll be great

Thanks for the comments, but one area I'm still fuzzy on though is how do I know what it will look like in other browsers? At home I have a 19" monitor and use IE, at work I use a 17" with Mozilla and when I view the page everything is aligned and in place yet you seem to see it sticking out? And as far as the colors go, I will switch that. Same with the font size for the blind lol.

Thanks again, when I said nOOb I've been reading your forums for a week, and put this together over the weekend, so it's not only my first div, but my first page period.

in ie for me the div needs to cover more! but don't worry i can't do it either!

I like the IMAGE. =O The layout is okay for you're first.

In Firefox, the DIV "quips" overlaps a little on the DIV "music".
In IE, Between the DIV "quips" and "quotes" has a big gap. I suggested making the gap even with the other DIV gaps.

Ok, I downloaded FF so I can see the difference between browsers etc. I'm going to redo the page. Thank you for the input and direction.
