HA! Thats the biggest misconception ever. Loads of people are in the music industry strictly based on look. Image, not talent. You can make a hit out of anything (for example, my humps, my humps my humps my humps) and you don't have to be able to sing a note to have a hit record. and when you ahve 6 very sexy women, from a very famous burlesque show, you can sell millions. And if this wasnt the case, they would actually be dressed in their videos. Nicoles career fell thru the dumps with edens crush, she took some clothes off, and used her connections to get back on top. Talent has nothing to do with anything. People are buying the image. the music is simple..I mean seriously...dont cha wish ur girlfriend was hot like me? Its a total disgrace when there are so many beautiful talented people trying to get into this business, but they actually have pride and class and care about the kind of image they portray to young people that buy their records, and for the standards they show, they are still sitting at home singing their hearts out waiting for someone to listen, not just look.

I haven't heard anything by this particular artist, so I'll refrain from comment on them specifically(Aside from betting that if they each gained a few pounds and didn't have a name like that, they would be much lower on the charts, if they were even there at all). However, the idea that you have to be talented to be in the music industry is completely outrageous. In the digital media age where you can make it look like you're singing an opera without actually making a single noise, actual vocal(Or instrumental) talent is minimally necessary to succeed. Physical attraction and slithering your way into the business is how many of today's chart toppers got to where they were.

If I had to pick, probably one of the bottom two. They may as well all be carbon copies, though.

dude i was calm. I'm wasnt offended. However there is an increasingly large number or artists getting signed everyday who have no talent at all. this is a very well known fact. And I've seen the pussycat dolls videos and I've heard their music, and anyone who isnt tone deaf could make the same music. they don't have record deals because they are telented, its because they sell. Thats all the business is about, selling. and this society is so disgustingly superficial that all you need is a great ass and you will sell. I mean look at the black eyed pea, they were around for years and then they put fergie and and BAM all over the charts. Because shes skinny and shakes her ass. if you've ever seen one of their shows, they come out wearing very little clothes but they dont usually physically take anything off in front of anyone, unless its like... a jacket. in which case, you could say britney spears and janet jackson have both done the same thing in their own shows. Stripping implies the actual ACT of taking your clothes off. Even if you just come out with no clothes on at all, you're not a stripper. You're just nude.


anyway, most of the girls from the pussycat dolls girl group did NOT derive from the original burlesque/cabaret group. only one of them did (Carmit.) The rest of them auditioned for the SOLE purpose of forming the new pop group. So I suppose it's unfair to categorize all six of them as "strippers" no matter what way you like to define it.
