I mostly listen to various genres of rock such as progressive, older screamo, punk, ska, rockabilly, older emo, and hardcore. I also listen to a lot of experimental trance/rock and I'm starting to get into dub (reggae/ska stripped). I would say indie, but that's not exactly a genre of music, but more of a label for bands who belong to independent record labels, plus it allows crappy bands to be in the same "genre" as talented bands, imo.

heh, I don't like screaming either; I prefer growling or yelling, but the occasional scream is alright.

Ahaha. True that. I had an urge to search, but it's really not worth it.

Anyway, favorite genre period: Metal. throb.gif throb.gif
To be more specific:
Death metal (Psycroptic, Slayer)
Grindcore (Berzerker)
Black Metal (Behemoth)
Classic Metal (Iron Maiden)
Doom Metal (Black Sabbath)
Melodic Death Metal (Children of Bodom, Insomnium)
"Gore metal" (Cannibal Corpse, Gorerotted)

I also like punk, emo, classic rock, anything rock, really. Hip-hop/R&B/rap. Some pop. Techno. Pretty much everything. But I'm pretty skeptical about country.

Hip-hop is my favorite, with jazz in a very close second. Get back to me in a few years and jazz will probably on the same level as hip-hop, if not ahead.

This needs to be moved to entertainment,

Also I think we have topics like this as well, pretty positive.

mine would have to be indie.

basically anything that appeals to my ears. it can be anything from pop to rock to country to techno etc.

i usually don`t like rap, because i usually like to listen to melodies.. && i don`t really like the sexual banter than you usually hear in them. there are some exceptions though.
