Here's just a thread with a load of random crap that was bothering me that I was always too lazy to make a topic about because some of the stuff seemed too trivial to have its own thread that would be closed immmediately after it was fixed.

On the interests subforum page, there's a typo
QUOTE
Art. Discuss the techinical side or art: digital, traditional, film, etc.

Anyone care to tell me What is wrong with this screenshot?

Also, on the subject of scripts, the ones that are no longer needed should be removed/edited.
http://www.createblog.com/scripts/download.php?id=204
http://www.createblog.com/scripts/download.php?id=130

Scripts should be checked for extra lines of coding that may be unnecessary.
http://www.createblog.com/scripts/download.php?id=254([.hidethem]) (extra coding)

On the site map, interests should be updated to include Art and News; also, not all of the xanga tools require you to be an official (insert word here).

On that topic, I think it should be edited into the official member thread that by becoming an official member, you also gain access to the uploader and Xanga Visitor Tracker. I'm not sure if other tools require official membership.

The stats feature should be added to xanga tools forum.

On the contribution page, I think the the option to submit website should be clarified that it's for topsite because when I first went to that page, I thought it was for website templates. Also, why does it state that BBC is enabled for the comment field when it isn't? :(

On the automated accepted script/layout PM, could we please fix the typo? pinch.gif (I don't know if this typo is also made on the rejection PM.)
QUOTE
Congratulations!
You're script/layout has been accepted. Please continue to submit new scripts/layout.

It isn't explicitly stated anywhere in our guidelines or terms of service that jocking is not allowed (because it should be a given), but it should probably be placed in print somewhere on the site so that this doesn't happen when users are being dense.

WOW, I'm so anal. k, I'm done (for now).

I've tried changing the scripts that screen shots aren't actually up. I don't see how they were accepted either for the screen shot problem. They were there before I was on staff, I've tried multiple times at changing them but they don't ever change. So I can't really fix that problems. Its on other scripts beside the one you listed.

Thanks though, I suppose.

Regarding the screenshot, I changed it. I don't really know why it was accepted like that. Plust the code doesn't even work the way it was given. So I edited the screenshot and changed it. I got rid of the submit button, scripts. The image rollover script doesn't work for you either?

For the layout thing being posted, I think if it is posted, it should be made a topic in the layout section overall. Half the people that get layouts here are only looking at the layouts not the other parts of the site anyway. So we can possibly add one there? Basically stating the whole "jocking" rule, and anything else important.

...If that made any sense .

Edit// The screenshot thing, I'm waiting for it to update. For some reason it will update the code not the screenshot.

Anyways read Holly's post I guess. I'm slow.

^laugh.gif its okay toya.

My code does work. I already tested it. I'll go add a link to instructions if people don't understand them. But it does work.

The screenshots yea, they just won't change. Don't know why though.

Oops, I should've specified that the last line of css (.hidethem {visibility:hidden; display:none;}) is extraneous to what the script is supposed to do; it works, though. ;x

Is there no way to manually change at least the one screenshot that's located in the thread if the actual script screenshot won't update? :x

Well I'm going to go through all the myspace scripts and change screen shots and titles and what ever else needs to be changed.

When I'm done, i'll tell you to go through it all and you can tell me if you see anything else. Okay?

We can change it in the thread, but it would have to be on another server. Unless someone else can upload it to the cb one.

Okay, all done.

All of the scripts in myspace work and ones that weren't needed or didn't work were removed. All were tested on myspace.

pinch.gif Wow that took a whole 2 1/2 hours.

Added them in. No, the others don't require you to be an official member.

Yeah, what about it? The forum description says you may be required to be an official member, if that's what you are referring to.

The a href="."/stats/" target="_blank">stats feature should be added to xanga tools forum.
Doing that now. Done.

That will most likely have to be done by Ju-Sun. I'll check the admincp, though.

It says so in the submissions guidelines but, yes, they should be stated in either or both of the community guidelines and TOS as well. Ju-Sun would have to do the latter. I've added it to the Community Guidelines.

Does anyone know if the decoder and encoder even work on Xanga anymore? I remember hearing something about Xanga disabling them, though I'm not entirely sure.

On the site map (located here), it says that you MUST be an official member/designer/promoter to access all the tools, and clearly that's not true.

Okay, so the xanga encoder/decoder still works. I don't know if it's worth mentioning, but this sort of encoder/decoder is also located here.

Yeah, um, don't know why that got accepted since it's personalized text, and I just tried it on a test myspace; it didn't work in both IE and Firefox.. And umm.. we do have these two tutorials..

I believe most of the livejournal layouts are not working because of the css heading iframe.htmleditor or because the coding is faulty (new style tags without closing old ones).. could the former be fixed and could the latter be cracked down on when accepting newer layouts? :\

(A lot of the recent lj help questions are about some layout not working.)

(An example of the latter would be this layout. :[ I also brought up another specific example, which has since been removed, in a different thread before.)

I've noticed some of the old layouts I've submitted show up with errors such that the insert in webstats section is not displaying, or the sidebar with information about the layout such as by, for, and tags. I'm just curious as to what could have caused these errors because pages were fine a few months ago. I only found there was a problem when some used one of my layouts and commented that some features weren't working.
