Maybe I'm just dumb but I can't get the tracking code to work in my livejournal. I just pasted it into the "Overrides" box under "Custom Options" in the "Journal Display" section. Is this wrong? Does anyone else have stats set up and can tell me what to do? I'm not very computer savvy

edit: oops, I had faulty coding that I was blaming on the tracker data. Umm.. I'm not sure if the tracker actually works but uhh.. Insert this into your S1 custom coding:
CODE LASTN_WEBSITE=>REPLACE THIS WITH THE STATS CODE PROVIDED<=LASTN_WEBSITE DAY_WEBSITE=>REPLACE THIS WITH THE STATS CODE PROVIDED<=DAY_WEBSITE FRIENDS_WEBSITE=>REPLACE THIS WITH THE STATS CODE PROVIDED<=FRIENDS_WEBSITE CALENDAR_WEBSITE=>REPLACE THIS WITH THE STATS CODE PROVIDED<=CALENDAR_WEBSITE The tracker will not work with the S2 style system. |

It took a lot of digging but I found how to add the code for my counter in my LJ blog. I created an entry and placed the counter code in it. I then dating the post far into the future. Now it is the first entry that you'll see and it tracks all visitors to my blog. So far, it was the easiest solution. By the way, I'm using sitemeter.com to track my visitors.
Hope this helps, Ron http://sprezzaturaron.livejournal.com |
