^^ That topic was for the actual news article, I believe.

I think that the purpose of this topic is to say something about him. shrug.gif

I'm going to leave it open for now and see what happens. (People/Head Staff/Admins if you feel differently, go ahead and close).

good call Zatanna lol its always close this topic or move this topic.

steve irwin is really a character, full of color, actually stands out. But its weird how he wasnt injured by a crocodile. Well atlest we know he has more expertise on crocs than sting rays.

He died doing something he enjoyed.

I believe he also educated us more on crocodiles and conserved wildlife.

Also he kept us entertained with his catchphrases ... 'Crikey' .. 'Look at this beauty'

I was so surprised.

I never thought he would get killed...by a sting ray.
I always thought..maybe he'll injure himself with those crocadiles.

It's really sad.

Man, this is gonna sound so stupid of me, but this hit me really strange. I guess because I never really followed up on him, but it was still very surprising. I always liked watching him but I wouldn't exactly say I was a big "fan" but it still hit me. At first I thought it was a joke but then I saw it on T.V.

I'm really sad because he has a wonderful family that he left behind but he died doing what he loved. Loved is probably an understatement. That guy had a passion. We think of him as an odd kinda strange person who yelled all the time but he really was a nice guy. The way he died is really strange. A complete freak accident. Sting Ray wounds are very rarely deadly. It just happened to pierce his heart. I just hope his family's alright and that he didn't suffer.

I think the situation was soooo sad, but then again he should have never "tried to swim with the stupid stingray". I think that's the most stupidest thing someone can do. rolleyes.gif

ehh....not really....he's sort of a daredevil, he messed the hell out of those crocs all the time, that could have been stupider. People die from crocs&snakes bites more than stingrays anyways, and I dont think he was ever seriously injured by crocodiles or snakes before 0.o...
I've snorkled with stingrays before (kinda scary now that I thought about it -.-;;)--but they're almost harmless 0.0

thats one odd way to go though, I feel soooo sorry for his family, they seemed almost perfect, the 3 years old is adorable cry.gif
I really like Steave Irwin, he always smiled & happy, its so sad to see him go, so freakin unexpected.

Whether you agree with me or not, Steve Irwin chose to "swim with the stingray", and now he's dead. Who's fault is that? mellow.gif

honestly, sting ray aren't like deadly or anithing, they're dangerous & can injure people... but probably killed less people than a pit bulls. Its not that stupid to swim with them.

but okay, its steve irwin's fault to swim with the stingray and got stab to death.

I think many people feel that way. It's what happens when a pop icon dies. Even though you may not be an avid fan (I wasn't either), you are just used to their presence in the media. So it will be strange not seeing him around (after the hub bub and much media capitalism of his death fizzles out).

i loved steve! and his dog!! me and my sister used to watch his show all the time. he was so cool. i can't believe he's dead now. i heard his little girl was now 8 and she has her own little tv show in australia. how cute is that? but yeah somebody told me they saw the video of the sting ray through his heart but i dunno if it's true or not. i really hope they don't release that.

some of my friends said "he had it coming" which i guess is true being around those animals like that all the time. but that doesn't mean i don't have sympathy or anything. i miss stevo
