well i dont know if i should be posting this up here but school just started about a week ago. i am a 9 grader and im in high school. my brother just graduated from high school and is going off to college. hes leaving in the end of september and is going to live in dorm rooms. every since i was little, i would always ask him for help and hes just the best brother ever. ever since school started i have been so emotional because i know my whole life starting now wont be the same anymore and it makes me want to cry alll the time. i think about high school and i do not know how im going to go through it without him becuase everytime i aks him for help when i need it. i feel like i am growing up so fast and looking at old pictures make me want to cry even more basicly im just scared to grow up adn i really miss my brother and im going to high school which is a big thing becuase eveyrthing WONT be the same anymore and i dont want to grow up and time passes so fast. did any one feel like this when they first started high school? like the other day my mom told me to walk to a place were usually when i was in 8 grade i would of meet my brother there when i went there my brother wasnt there and i was alone i was soo sad and now everyday i just want to cryi feel sooooooooooo pressured

High school is a happy place. Be happy or else the seniors will pick on you.

I take that back. But you really shouldn't look so down on that fact. Look at the future, not at what you're missing. You'll be busy in hs so after a couple of weeks, you'll get used to it.

Give yourself a chance in H.S

You dont know what H.S can offer you.

hmmm, i dont have the same experience as you.
i didnt really need any of my sibling to help me on school work.

but i'm glad, H.S offer helps, support, and homework help center.

I had to go through the same thing as you, except I was in 4th grade..
I have a fear of growing up too. Just think of how great the future's gonna turn out.. Like think of what your future plans are. Jobs, college, success. That's what I did to help myself accept change.
I'm starting high school tomorrow and I'm sorta sad because I only know 9 people from my school. Leaving MS was hard because I had to say goodbye a lot of friends and to 3 great years of my life.
But then high school is a great opportunity to meet new friends.
And with so much school work, you'll probably have no time to think and maybe you'll get over it soon.

Where is your brother going to college? Maybe he can visit once in a while.

My sister went to college in Boston and she came back at least once a month for a year and that made me feel better.

And maybe you can keep in touch with him via AIM or email.
