well um.. whenever i try to turn on my comp, all it shows is my wallpaper and nothing else.
its like when it first turns on, everything is frozen.
then when i click around, it tells me I need "win2sock" or something to be able to run.
i have NO IDEA WHY! all i was doing was talking to my friends on AIM when I decided to restart my computer because Firefox wasn't working and neither was my IE.
whenever I opened it, it'd say "windows cannot display."
so yeah.. now i restarted it and it shows nothing. =[
when i press okay to that win2sock notice, it opens firefox to microsoft.com BUT IT WONT DISPLAY ANYTHING!!
bah im so scared. >_>;; I'm not supposed to break my computer yet.. and i had no idea what i even did. Dx

edit// also the only internet I could have accessed during that time was BitComet.. but there are no toolbars around. mellow.gif

Is your computer old?
What is it running on? Windows XP?

I really think you have a virus..

Because you were disconnected. Or something interrupted your connection.

so yeah.. now i restarted it and it shows nothing. =[

What do you mean by it shows nothing?

Try rebooting in safe mode, if you can then run a virus scan. (or if you're using XP use system restore to go back to a date when there was no problem.)

I was on cB from my laptop. o.o
D: I dont have any porn though.. rolleyes.gif

mmm.. the internet was working at that time. it was even working on my laptop when it didn't work on my compuer. mellow.gif

rawr sock: It's running on Windows XP - it's not that old. I just bought it like 5 months ago i think. I dont think it was used any time before this.
It showed nothing.. like just my wallpaper.

ooo. the safe mode thing works, and it detected a worm, but it was just an IRC chat worm.. and it said it couldn't delete. _dry.gif

That IRC Chatworm can be something bigger than it says it is.
