I just got my first bottle of black nail polish and I must say, it will definitely become a staple. There's something about using it that makes me feel a little bit "rebellious," even though it's "classic." Anyone else love/hate it?

I wear black nail polish. I don't see anything reallly rebelious about it. It looks wonderful with electric blue nail polish though

^That is a cool combination.
I think I tried on black nail polish at a store and my mom hated it. She mumbled something to do with dark and/or death. I don't normally go for black nail polish, though. It's just not "me". |

I like it too.
My parents hate it too. My mom though I was gonna turn goth or emo.. I still wear it. Just not as often. I like my neon orange and green nail polish better :) |

the only thing is when someone only paints one nail black, then it looks like they slammed thier finger and the nail's about to fall out.

I wear black nail polish almost all the time (unless an employer gets all freaky about it).
It matches everything! I've always done my toe nails in black too. |

Eh, I don't like black nail polish. I prefer brighter colors. My mom doesen't want me want me wearing black nail polish either. Then again, like I'm gonna listen to her. |

I don't know why, but it looks better on shorter nails than long ones. I wore it once for Halloween when I was 14, but that was pretty much the only time. I don't like it, color is a wonderful thing [:

I like it, although I don't wear nailpolish much and when I do it's only my thumbs.

I like it in certain ways. Like with the opposite french (that's what I've always heard it called) is white. (the semi circle on the bottom of your nail). It can look nice plain too, but it yellows your nails if you leave it on for to long.

I dont' know - I find it kinda tacky. But that's just me, I haven't worn black nail polish before though. I stick to french manicures & maybe a pink-ish color.

Some people can pull it off, but I definitely can't. It's a little too dark for me. And I usually only wear neutral nail polish colors. I'm wearing clear nail polish right now.

just make sure your nails aren't really long cause it looks like really bad if you have long nails.
