I have this photo class as an elective. And the teacher wants me to get a 35mm adjustable camera. But my dad has a 52mm adjustable camera. I'm wondering whats the difference. The film or something?

There is such a thing as a 52mm camera.
It's just more hightech and expensive.

suffice it to say, you can't use the 52 for 35. you need to get a 35. they come cheap, you can get a 20 buck one.

Unless you are doing large format 52mm is a expensive way to go. 35mm is your basic film format.
