How do you make your modules transparent so that you can see your background picture below?

In the style tags in GLOBAL_HEAD:

CODE
<!--
table, tr, td, .shadowed {
background: transparent;
}
-->

So for this do I have to use the S1 style system, or can I enter it into the custom CSS?

I've only used it in S1, but you can try putting it into custom CSS.

I'm trying to get my layout to look like this http://ceruleanxstar.livejournal.com (iono who this is, I was just browsing trying to find an example of a transparent blog) do you know how she/he did that? Do you know the code I would have to use in the S1 box?

Gah, another problem now though, when I do that then it goes back to the default boring black and whit thing, I had the generator type of layout in S2 is there any way I can get the transparency thing and still have a Generator type of layout?

To change to Generator:
http://www.livejournal.com/customize/style.bml

It's in all four drop-down menus.

You can customize the color at the bottom of that page.
