top friends missing Options

i put in a new layout and my top 8 has vanished...there is still a link to view all my friends. the preview for the new layout didn't show the top friends, but nowhere on the actual page with the code did it say that the top friends wouldn't be shown. is there a code to get it back? i have a top 24.
