Okay, if you had to design a website, which would you use? I've been contracted to do a business' website, and the president is willing to purchase the software that I need to make his better than the rest.

Which should I get... Dreamweaver or Flash? (and why)

Neither. Just do it by hand. _smile.gif

In all seriousness, don't use Flash unless you have a really, really good reason to do so. I hate Flash-based websites. Flash makes it hard to bookmark specific parts of the site, and requires the user to download a separate piece of software. It has good support in most mainstream browsers, but the latest versions don't always work well on lesser-used systems (such as Linux and Unix). Flash, in my mind, is only appropriate in a scant few contexts.

I was going to do it all by hand.. like normal, but the effects and detailing that this guys wants is unbelieveable - things that would require advanced animation. I've done research and I have to buy Flash or Dreamweaver to satisfy him - I think it would be Flash

I've used and like Dreamweaver. I never did use flash for any reason. But I think dreamweaver is a pretty good program to use. Why? um its a good program , and it pretty much helped me out with anything I needed. Which is a dumb reason.

Why not download trials and choose the one you like best?
