In freshman year I got detention for not wearing the school shirt because it was out of "dress code." I was pissed cus I thought it was a dumb reason, my homeroom teacher was real strict on the dress code.

In sophomore year I got detention cus I was "late" for school.. the bell rang and I wasn't inside homeroom so the substitute homeroom teacher marked me as late. In my school when you're late, you have to do lunch duty in the cafeteria (take people's garbage) in order to not have detention for that day. But I didn't feel like doing lunch duty, so I got detention for not doing it.

Afterwards, I didn't feel like going to detention so I just didn't go. Well, actually I did go, but the door was closed and no one was there, so I just left cus I didn't feel like waiting. So the next day I got detention again for not going lmao.

But anyways, what have you gotten detention for?

In 3rd grade I made peeing noises during science time. My teacher was using those injecting things to put water in test tube things. :/

And I got detention freshman year for not turning something in on time, but I never went and I never got punished for that either. It wasn't my fault though stupid disc didn't read on my teacher's slow and virus infested computer.

^ XD.gif ahaha making peeing noises

i got one in 8th grade for "excessive talking" even though the teacher's daughter was talking A LOT more than i was, i was the only one punished. i got one this year for saying something in french while in science class _dry.gif i had to copy this sentence that had three lines over and over and over again for a whole hour. i got gum detention too, which is when you're caught chewing gum and you have to scrape gum off from under desks, using one rubber glove and a ball point pen. oh joy.

i almost got one for not taking my sweater off because it had writing on it and it didn't looke "clean & neat," which is against the dress code, according to one teacher. -_-

Last year I kept getting detention for my friends swearing. Like, a friend of mine, or just some random person would be talking and a "f**k" would just ring out from their sentence. Then a teacher would come up to me.

"I'll need to see your school ID."
"Could I ask what for?"
"Right now!"

I would be all confused, and then they would accuse me of all sorts of awful things. Then I would argue my innocence and no matter how polite or non-contumacious I was, they would freak out. And, in the end, I would get like a saturday class for "talking back." Damned facists.

Oh, but aside from that... I have like three story stacks of detention slips. Just a bunch of attendance issues. I was going to get into honors art and for my exhibit near the end of the year I was going to make a wall collage of all my detention slips, passes to the office, and saturday class papers. The center piece was going to be all my suspension and expulsion papers. Yeah, it would have been cool.

I fell asleep in french and I had to write lines. My teacher thinks she has a sense of humour, so I had to write, 'I will not drool in my sleep.' 200 times. blink.gif

haha.. in like 6th grade, well for starters at my old school you always HATED the class below you. so anyways.. in the 6th grade, my friend and i were playing catch with a water bottle because the 5th graders wouldn't fork over any balls for us 6th graders.. lol, hella dumb i know, but then the bell rang and i was still playing catch and this girl from the 5th grade hella ran into the bottle and started crying. now i dont know whats wrong with her, but her nose is kinda crooked and she does talk funny becuase of it, and her friends told their teacher that we threw a glass bottle at her nose and thats why her nose is crooked. and their stupid teacher believed them and gave me and my friend a detention. i told my teacher what really happened but he said i still had to go. but i signed in at detention and left.. lol.

the other time i got detention was in high school when i wore pants instead of a skirt when we went to mass. oh dear. lol. _dry.gif

I've gotten detention for stupid pranks my friends and I did last year.

- having garbage can races (we brought our own clean garbage bags)
- Playing extreme duck duck goose in the main lobby (extreme meaning instead of chasing someone around the circle, you dive at them through it)
- Helping to build an anatomically correct life size snowman of our principal on the roof
- Setting free the frogs in the bio room
- Bringing in rollerblades and having races in the hallway
- Starting a moshpit in the jazz band room during rehersal
- Pretending we didn't speak any english to the sub in health
- Having paper ball fights
- Saving up chalk powder and pouring it down the stairwells

Shit like that, nothing horrible.

I haven't really gotten detention for anything serious.
I got detention once for talking in class after my teacher repeatedly told me and my friend to stop. But it was only like a ten minute detention thing, where she kept us in during lunch.

We were in sixth grade. Hah.

In highschool I mostly got detention because I was late too many times.
I think maybe once for dress code, since I went to a private school, and I was a bad girl since I didn't show up one day in that ugly plaid skirt.

All I could remember getting detention for is when the whole class gets it. Most of the time, I just didn't do anything. Usually it was because the class was loud. ermm.gif

I got detention once for not doing my math homework.

In year7, when my math teacher asked my classmate what type of triangle he drew, my classmate didn't know and said something like "Mr.Tiggles". My math teacher gave him a friday detention for that stubborn.gif

Last year, the late bell rang at 8:30, and we had car trouble that morning and got to school at 8:32. My mom came into the office to check me in, but it wasn't excused, and I was given a detention. My mom threw a fit and refused to let me go.

I wouldn't blame her. you dont happen to go to norcross do you?

I was late once because of traffic because GA is horrible. I almost got a detention because the vice principal hates me but the principal saved me.

No sir, I don't. Both of my parents did, though. I used to go to Berkmar from 2003-2005, if you're familiar with that school... it was interesting to say the last.

I see. I used to live in the Lilburn area. But not anymore.

In detention we apparently have to write an essay about one of the characater traits. I would hate to be stuck there.

The first time was because I was late for class, which is BS because I was inside the class, just not in my seat.
The second time was when I forgot my school ID and I had to buy a new one. They gave me a double detention, it was soooooo boring!

Hmm..

- being late excessively
- talking to people
- talking on my cell in class (that was completely retarded though.. we weren't doing anything)
- cursing too much
- telling a teacher to shut up and go to hell
- arguing with a teacher

There's probably more.

Could you have guessed that I'm a straight A student? laugh.gif

I usually get in detention for "talking multiple times when asked not to" or talking & texting on my cell phone in class. Talking always gets me in trouble.

I never got detention in high school; in elementary school I got detention for cussing out a girl, and in junior high, for spitting in somebody's face (and a couple other things, tardiness mostly I think). mellow.gif I WAS NICE, I SWEAR.

I've gotten serveral detentions in elementry, but they were all for not turning in homework. pinch.gif
So far in in junior high, I've only gotten one. It was for throwing food in the cafeteria. What sucks is that she just randomly threw pizza ON MY FACE (nasty), and she didn't even get in trouble. stubborn.gif askdjaskfhjxcvlm
I hope I don't get any more detentions as I enter high school next year.

I've never actually had detention.
Almost did once. I cursed at this kid on the bus when I was in 5th grade. It's probably on my permanent records.. pinch.gif

I do remember almost getting detention in 6th grade though.. We used to always start "riots." LOL.
I didn't do anything that time.. It was the other table. And some other table got blamed for it. It was retarted.

I just started high school and so far, no detentions. mellow.gif
