... mmmk ya know how the mayans or whatver predicted the end of the world in 2016? I honestly think that it could have been metaphorical. No matter that the numbers or planets say, they could not have predicted the technology of what we have today or the modern day importance of the class system. Right now the US is a "WORLD" power and is in huge debt and as we all know we are trying to support a bunch of other countrys and military forces, we also all know that our generation will never see our social security savings, however the baby boomer generation will and has been promised such, within the next ten years(2016) they will start retiring (about 100,000 of them which may not sound like much but if they goverment gave them each only 100 dollars thats 10 million dollars the US doesnt have) when you put a war and millions of dollars we dont have in social security on top of our trillion dollar debt and the fact that the rest of the world hates us... its a pretty bad combo.. I think that the stress on our economy and our desperation to keep going into war (unless people finally just vote for nader) the US will start to fail. I dont think we can have any hope of getting our economy out of the red and regaining an army or making friends with everybody so when we are down someone will attack us.. then there is that whole allies thing that always tend to drag everybody into a world war.. and thats what I think will happen, I mean nuclear war heads are probably more devistating then these "asteroids" or "meteors" the mayans speak of. Or maybe everyone will be so busy fighting they wont notice the killer asteroid. That would be the best irony ever.
