I like meat.

And, I don't necessarily agree with the politics behind it, but, it's way healthy.

Ha, I'd have A LOT of trouble keeping away from meat. Like seriously, I already don't like veggies. Take the meat & dairy products & all that good junk away, & I'm dead.

Anyways, I honestly don't see the point in vegetarianism (well, if you're doing it for the animals, anyways). Yes, sure, you aren't eating chicken, but how is that supposed to help? There are still millions of people eating chicken & these companies aren't going to stop killing chicken or w/e because of some people that think that it's wrong. &besides, animals eat other animals, so why can't we eat meat?

I know a girl that only eats bread. She doesn't eat meat, because she's anti 'animal-murder'. She doesn't eat veggies or fruits because she doesn't like them. She. Eats. Bread.

I tell her she's dying and she shrugs it off. She probably is though. Well, its her life.

Lol, not many vegetarians? There are like none! But me. Yes folks I don't eat the critters. I tried being vegan but it is way harder than you'd think. You all seem to be sort of anti-vegetarian, but I would be happy to explaining to you why I don't eat meat. If anyones interested...ask questions and stuff.

I used to be a vegetarian for nearly two years. I was trying to go vegan, but only managed to give up egg products--dairy was still in my diet, but not as much.
I was around fourteen and thought that I could lose weight; that soon turned into a "I feel bad for eating an animal"-thing, and then I was like "eh. whatever, my diet's f**ked and so am I."
I absolutely HATE those who push this on others, though. It's annoying. But, then again, I hate it when people push their beliefs on others, really.
Uhm, yeah, people can do whatever they want. I have nothing against vegetarianism. Just annoying, pushy people. Same goes for meat lovers, though. >>

I'm a vegetarian. It started out being for animals (there is a story behind that) but now I just do it because it's healthier.

By the way being a true vegan is near impossible without getting seriously ill. People who say they are vegans but still eat bread are not. There are eggs in bread.

I've been a vegetarian since the fifth grade. I admit, I used to try to push vegetarianism on people. -smacks self- I don't do that anymore, but I'm still a vegetarian. I occassionally ate white meat at one point, but I stopped that and now I'm back to vegetarianism. It's actually been really easy for me to be one because my parents are both vegetarians, and so is 98% of my family.

Other than that, I can't see myself serving my children meat and taking them to steakhouses and such. ermm.gif

For several reasons actually.

1. I love animals. I really do. I have some 40 animals myself and could never imagine having one of them be put through that sort of thing. Factories treat animals terribly and over crowding has become a huge problem. They spend their whole lives in cages way over packed and some never see the light of day.

http://www.goveg.com/factoryFarming.asp

2. Factory farms are terrible for the environment.

"Energy from fossil fuels is an important natural resources that is heavily used in modern agriculture. A number of studies have been made to estimate the quantities used in intensive animal farming, the evidence points to animal feed production as a major and inefficient user of both water and energy resources." It is also wasteful and the amount of food used to feed the animals (whos populations that we ourselves have caused to sky rocket) could be used for starving people of our own.

3. It is good for you. You do loose weight and you do reduce the risk of cancer (colon) and many other risks that come with eating the meat we have today. You see, in order to meet the supply factories need animals to grow as big as possible in the shortest amount of time. Growth hormones which also effect people are pumped into these animals on a daily basis. So much as that American Meats have been questioned by Europeans.

http://www.preventcancer.com/consumers/gen...rmones_meat.htm

Now I know this is a lot of information and I do not want to push it in anyones face. I am not judging anyone and would appreciate it if you would do the same for me. But this is something I feel very strongly about and frankly it is good for you! And I want you all to live long healthy lives. (: So if you have any questions please ask me. I would be happy to aid you on your path to hopefully becoming a vegetarian or vegan.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm not that big on meat. I'll go to Mcdonalds or wherever and have a cheeseburger or nuggets and day.

I try to eat organic dairy / meat / fruits / veggies whenever possible though, because it seems to be healthier.

Organic meats are from animals which dont have the growth hormones, and are overall treated better.

Organic vegetables / fruits dont have some of the pesticides that are found in normal veggies / fruit. Some of the pesticides can possibly increase your risk of cancer.

nope, i love meat.
eating a burger is like having a party in your mouth.
for those who are like, "i love the animaaaals", that's nice but if we don't eat them up they'll overpopulate.
if people weren't overbreeding without have any knowledge on it, there wouldn't be NEARLY as many animals being slaughtered.
and not all slaughter houses are inhumane, you just think that because that's all you see footage of.

Same here, my bf would freak if I became one since he's a total carnivore.

This one time when I was eating my tuna&crackers snack in class, a kid next to me was telling me that I shouldn't be eating tuna and that I'm hurting it. blink.gif The is tuna dead, it came from those little snack packs.

Honestly, the vegetarians that come up to you and try to "convert" you from being a carnivore bugs me. Ok, it is animal cruelty but that's a cycle of life. Eating the meat of an animal is not the only cause of why there are less of them. C'mon, look at the world population of humans! Be better off just killing a few billion people, give it a few decades, and the planet can progess from there. Sorry if I offend anyone, it's a cruel thought.

Well. Erm. Hehe. Okay. I'm a vegeterian & I basically eat bread & cheese. I eat a few carrots, but other than that...nothing else. I honestly have no idea why I don't eat meat. I have never really eaten much meat. Maily just hamburgers & bacon. I actually don't ever think I've tried steak. One day, I just decided to stop eating meat. Don't ask me. I was nine years old. But, I have this genetical disease called congenital anosimia, which basically means I can't smell. I've never been able to. Therefore, it leaves my doctors to think that I don't taste like other people. So...that may be the case with me. I don't know.
And the fat comment...yes, bread has carbs but meat is pretty fattening too. Plus, if you take out all the other food, it substacts alot of food that is included in other people's diets. I am not overweight, nor underweight. I'm average for my age.

When people start eating Panda meat, that will officially be the day I quit eating meat. I don't really eat red meat that much. I eat chicken at times and most of the time. I love vegatables so it wouldn't be hard at all for me to go vegetarian. A lot of people believe I am when they first meet me as well, because I don't eat any meat what-so-ever at school.
