Has your job ever come close to being the death of you, literally? I have been working (unfortunately) at Blockbuster for almost 2 years during school and whatnot. Besides the free movies, it sucks. NEVER WORK HERE!! You know why? I listen to the same GODDAMN 90 second video loop on the TV's in the store from 4 P.M. to 1 A.M. six days a week, while dealing with the crabbiest, and all-around shittiest customers on the face of the planet (one today freaked out on me because he couldn't believe how "expensive popcorn is these days").

Describe and outline the shittiness level of your jobs... we'll help convince you to quit! wink.gif

I'd KILL to work in a video store. I practically keep Family Video in business. I'm not eighteen, though. _dry.gif The only job I've had was at JCPenney's under the Utility Team. I basically got the crap-end job where we were forced with everything except the register (i.e. fitting rooms where people changed their babies' diapers and couples had sex, folding jeans where food was shoved into, loading/unloading heavy packages). stubborn.gif I quit after five months. They treated us like shit on top of all that. We got our work done and the old-ass cashiers complained just because we tried to make our job fun and talked to each other while we were doing everything.

Okay, but really, having to apologize to a guy for the price of a bucket of popcorn? I'm not sorry about anything, a-hole. Especially not your f**king $1.50.

I actually keep people that work at blockbuster amused when i go in, I talk to them and such.

Although I work from home, on the computer. 0_o

Its not bad, unless you have to deal with someone with a attitude and doesn't know how to leave you alone.

Actually I've never had anyone not like any of the stuff..

Except one but it was just a minor problem and just wanted like a font changed.. Its really not that hard. If you ask enough questions about what they want..

at the grocery store where i work (which no one has probably heard of, unless they live in the midwest near missouri and nebraska), we have tvs that play the same commercials, nonstop; i could probably recite them. we turned the tv off in my aisle the other day, but they turned it back on, so we finally figured out how to turn down the volume.

I work at Target which I really like, it actually helped me develop more self-confidence, so I guess that's the side effect. The bad guests that I recieve are a bit annoying, though sometimes my excellent sales skills turn them into good guests.

Hmm.. I work at a photomania . I get health benefits. The customers are really picky and sometimes give you a great deal of hard time if they don't get what they want. My manager says they're ALWAYS right, no matter what.

Yeah, I'm not particularly fond of that rule, because the customer is not always right.

Eddie, I like how you called them "guests" in your post. Target is awesome. laugh.gif
---------------------

My boss is a tightwad. He made me all happy once because he had been gone for the weekend, and when he came back he told me he was giving me a bonus.

"Danielle, I think you've done such a great job taking care of the store, I'm gonna be giving you a bonus this weekend."

Saturday rolls around, and he gives me my check. Then he starts digging in his pocket and pulls out a twenty dollar bill. "I just wanted you to have this, this is your bonus because I feel like you've done such a great job."

Needless to say, I was pissed. It's not just that, but I have to check my pay stubs to make sure he didn't "accidentally" make a math error in his favor.
