Tried again and failed. I have black hair, and this time I tried an auburn redush color. I put the color into the applicator/creme bottle, shook itup, and half squeezed half combed the mixture through my hair. I don't know if the combing thing ruined it, but I'm sitting here waiting for it to dry and my hair is still black.

Use highlighting stuff and buy 2 packs of them and dye your hair with that.

i dyed my hair medium brown from my natural color which was dark brown and blackish but it worked! i bought 2 packs of it cuz my hair is long but not really long, kinda passes my shoulders by like 6 inches or somethin. i think u shud buy 2 boxes! .. actually depends if you have thick/long hair.

i don't think bleaching is a good idea. but then again who knows
i mean that stupid hairstylist that highlighted my hair bleached it first. now the red from my highlights became gold.

The thing is YOU CAN'T "DYE" BLACK HAIR RED WITHOUT BLEACH. Yeah it might not be as "healthy" for your hair in comparison to coloring, but you can't color black hair to red with JUST coloring. And what you heard was true, swtwinkleeyes. Red coloring fades out faster than any other color.

And nevermind, the dye did show up. Not that much though, but it's noticeable
