So I am completely new at all of this and I was wondering what the better choice was PSP Photo Art Suite (includes PSPX, Painter Essentials 3, and Photo Album 6 Deluxe Bundle) OR Photoshop Elements 4.0 + Premiere Elements 2.0. Or are they better individually. Is it best just to get PSPX alone OR Photoshop Elements 4.0 alone. I'm interested in a digital imaging software that isn't exclusive to professionals and I'd also like to dabble in making some layouts (not sure what software does that). Thanks to anyone with some help and suggestions!!!

It depends on what you rather use. I say you download paint shop pro trial and a photoshop trial. Try practicing some stuff and see which you prefer better. People can tell you anything they would get but um you should choose what you can use.

when it comes down to paying. get Paint Shop Pro cuz it's a lot cheaper. And just wanted to warn u... but I heard that PSPX doesn't come with Animation Shop3, like PSP 8 or 9 does.
