I`m new to livejournal.. so could anyone help me? Options

So i`m trying to figure out how I can change the layout for my livejournal. Basically, what I did was take one of the layouts here on createblog & then changed it a bit.. I`m just trying to figure out how I can put a banner at the top.. this is what turns out instead.

i just want it to be at the top.. as a header kinda thing.

no, i want it to be center aligned. i actually changed something and it worked fine.

i was wondering.. do you know of any lj communities that make cute layouts?
