disable grey bar with navigation links on bottom? |

I'm working on a new layout from scratch and can't seem to get rid of the grey bar at the bottom of the screen where the navigation links are. I've seen other myspaces without it so I'm wondering.. how?? I've already hidden the links and such that are in it but yet the grey bar is still there.
If you can't tell me how to get rid of it, how about just how to center it?  thanks bunches. |
