Not for awhile. I don't think that the U.S. will want to go to war with anyone till Iraq is completely figured out. And I think the government will suffer from public backlash if they try to go to war again.

Well, if you think about it, the American army's been in Japan, or at least have a base there since the end of World War 2.

People always get shipped out, You signed up, did you think it'd be easy...Of course you'd get sent on active duty, lucky not to iraq.

If we do attack, we'll strike so fast they wont know what happened. No mistakes like with Iraq...if we've learned our lesson

Maybe they'll be another Cold War, like the one a few decades back between the US & the former Soviet Union.

I'm scared of Koreas missles. Because they can go 45 feet away from there missile site and land in the japan sea (which is pretty damn near the country). =]

how strong are those Taepodong 2 missles....are they as strong as the ones that were hit during WW II ?

anyways i dont believe were going to go too were until we`ve solved everything in iraq....but i`m pretty sure maybe in the next few decades ....we might go to war with china .....you`ve seen the tensions coming through both sides ....and add that with there booming economy and political differences.

Iraq is no joke but its far from a War. It is, more or less, a struggle to bring some order to the broken country.

Unlike with Iraqi militias and other militants, the North Korean military is disciplined and they have the intelligence and artillery to compete with the US. They also have an Air Force and a Navy to match most of our potential attacks.

However, they might as well kill off 1 million troops as is because their ground strategies and offensive tactics are sub-par at best. If it weren't for their artillery, they'd be just another communist country with green eyes of jealousy.

But, I'm a 1371, so if it goes down, then hell, it goes down.

I don't think the US will engage itself in another war until everything in iraq is settled. Because everyone hates us already just for iraq, but if we had two wars going on? they'd be egging us from europe.

That makes no sense.

Although China is a communist country, Hong Kong is under democratic rule. Because the US relies so heavily on China for cheap labor and trade, then it would be a huge shot to our economy granted we went straight to war with North Korea. However, if China saw reason to cut ties with North Korea, then the UN would be more likely to give the green light.

I personally doubt we'll attack North Korea before we get in the thick of things with Iran.

We're too slap-happy about Middle Eastern weapons proliferation to realize the real threat (Kim Jong-Il).

Well, Israel hasn't officially declared war yet, but I think it'll be soon before they give in too.

Its only a matter of time before we intervene. Both countries are allies.

War is only worth it if peace is an outcome. Soldiers have fought to obtain a sense of peace.

I doubt it. North Korea isn't a direct thread to the United States. Given the conflict in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq—and the unpopularity of both, especially the war in Iraq—I like to think that our leadership would be intelligent enough to not press the offensive with the DPRK.

Of course, I never thought we'd attack and occupy Iraq. I can see a situation in which we have a lame-duck president and/or Congress declare war on North Korea, possibly even to boost public opinion and give the American people something to really behind.
