Lately I've been soooo unmotivated. I think it's the music I'm listening to. Could someone recommend music that's going to get me motivated?

I always listen to Sigur Ros or classical music when I want to get something done.

Classical music works for me. I sometimes listen to Josh Groban, especially his Italian songs even though I don't understand them.

^ OMG I love him. Don't know what the heck he's saying but it's really soothing and inspiring.
I also like movie soundtracks. Not the actual songs with singing, more the scores. Lord of the Rings, HP, Underworld (They're really cool...) and shtuff like that. |

Hm, I don't know what kind of motivation you're looking for, but uh.
I listen to PANIC! at the Disco a lot. The great thing about their music is that the tune could be so happy, but they could be singing about dead ballroom dancers & hospitals. But it always has me singing or dancing! OH! Shimmy Shimmy Quarter Turn, by hellogoodbye. Always make me feel good. |

I adore your signature. I keep staring at it. Anyway, I'll give this a listen. I don't know how much classical music will help me though. Sigur Ros isn't classical, they're progressive rock, and they've very good. I have what is essentially a self-help book in the form of a catchy indie rock song...but I don't think that's quite what you mean. Fiona Apple calms me down really well, yet is still interesting enough that I can get things done. |

jazz/hip-hop/techno I really am liking High Contrast and M.I.A. right now. High Contrast? Nice. Check out the tracks Music is Everything, Twilights Last Gleaming, and Tutti Frutti. For motivation? Hmmmm. Atari Teenage Riot - We've Got The f**king Power (Motivation in a crazy way) Atom and His Package - Punk Rock Academy (Motivational in a goofy way) Dropkick Murphys - Boys on the Dock (Motivational in an Irish way) Immortal Technique - Freedom of Speech (Motivational in a street-indie-rap way) Pretty Girls Make Graves - This is Our Emergency (Motivational in a girl-revolution way) Sham 69 - If The Kids Are United (Motivational in a simple-uk-revolution way) The Clash - All The Young Punks (Motivational in a bitter-sweet way) Dead Kennedys - Stars and Stripes of Corruption (Motivational in a social-revolution way) Azure Ray - If You Fall (Motivation in a sad way?) I guess it all depends on what kind of motivation you're looking for? |

jazz/hip-hop/techno I really am liking High Contrast and M.I.A. right now. Oh and Nicki, I shall be rading your music list soon. Anytime. I've got tons. I can recommend stuff for most needs, heh. Azure Ray - If You Fall (Motivation in a sad way?) "New Resolution" is the best from that album, just for the record. |
