i am starting a layouts site and i was wondering how to put links in the text boxes because everytime i try it just shows the html tag...also how to bold, unterline, and italic words in a text box because it does the same thing.

.... That's the point of a textarea. I assume that's the tag you're using, correct?
Use a scrolling div if you want HTML to show up. Like so: CODE <div style="overflow: auto; width: 450px; height: 350px;">
