Hey Everyone,

Got a question for you guys. I'm lucky enough that my dad's willing to buy me a new graphic program, but I'm undecided what to go for. There's no way I'd try to ask him to pay over $700 Canadian for the new Adobe, so that's out of the question. Plus, I've only ever used PSP before. So, I'm skeptical about switching over.

I'm currently on PSP 7. I was going to get PSP 9, but found out that there's a new one out after that. PSP X. Thing is..from what I've read about it..I'm unsure if it's more for photos than graphic work. O.o Considering all I'll be 'using' it for is graphic work/layout design..I'm really worried I'll get the wrong thing. Any suggestions? Anyone here used PSP X? If so, what's it like? I'd dl the trial, but it crashes my system everytime I try. >.<

Any help/suggestions you guys can give is much appreciated. ^_^ Thanks.

Moving this to Graphics Help - people there will be more likely to respond. _smile.gif

As I'm a PS user rather than PSP, I'm afraid I can't answer your question. sad.gif

However, you might want to consider getting the student discount on Photoshop.

PSPX is almost the same as PSP7. They just look different. Its really easy to use. I used PSPX for my banner site. And now i use PSP9 which is the same as PSPX.

Basically PSP9 is sorta similar to PSP7, but updated. & I don't think PSPX is mainly for photos only. PSPX is pretty much the same as PSP9, and i make tons of graphics on it. so go for either 1. i think they're the same price =P

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I didnt say something sooner. Was in the middle of moving. x.x

I'll probably go with PSPX then. ^_^ Thanks for the suggestion about Photoshop's student discount, too. o.o; I'll look into that. But for now I'll get PSP. ^_^ Thanks for all the help!

I use PSP9. Its sort of the same but PSPX has more features. I have only using PSPX to blend a picture one time. It's rather easy to use. thumbsup.gif
