Okay, so this was the question for a science project I recently had. Do you think children, with childhood disorders(like ALD- which is what we were learning about) should be told fuly about there disorder? And also do you think that they should have a say in the decision making for that disorder?

I would say yes to both because it is part of the kid and they should have a say in what they do or don't want.

what are your thoughts?

BTW, the movie was called Lorenzo's Oil if anyones seen it...

i would think that maybe when the child reaches a certain age that the parents can tell them of there disorder.. its really a tough situation because you dont want the child to start feeling left out because of some disabbility kids these days are cruel against those with disabilities so its really hard for parents to say something to their child.

^ I like that idea.

But I think it might also be good to tell them at a early age. Just so it doesn't hit them like a bullet when they grow up. It can be quite awkward.

Eh. Then again, it might be better when they're at a older age and can understand and handle it better.
