Ah, I like this but you kind of missed the lines on the face and the lips. The eyes are so pretteh. It's very nice for your first though!

That is fantastic for a first! You have the concept down very well =] You should colorize all the skin at the same time so you can get a nice even tone. It looks like you did the neck seperately. Also I think the skin color could use a bit of work. Its a tad too yellow. Make it more of a orangey red color. The eyes are gorgeous, but maybe a bit too saturated? but the lips were nicely done =) Go ahead and take the next step by colorizing the hair! maybe some blush too? and keep your colors consistant. You have very bright saturated eyes and lips, yet the skin and shirt are a more dull and plain color. Try to make them all either bright or all plain. ok? usually colorizing with overlay layers gives your colorizations a brighter look while using "color" layers gives it a duller look. One last thing. Sometimes it looks nice when you flatten the whole image, duplicate it, the guassian blur the top layer and set it to screen, overlay... or whatever. Sometimes that hides mistakes =P

Thanks!
![]() Btw, I tried colorizing the black strip under her neck. I guess that's supposed to be her collar. Anyway, when I tried it, the color wouldn't show. Matt suggested color dodge or burning, does that work with black? AND. I colorized the hair, but I guess black doesn't change much. |

looool, never colorize with pure black. it actually does nothing, but if it does do something, it usually makes your picture black and white.
The best thing to do is use a dark color(usually brown) that is not actually black if you want a dark haired look. oh yeah, and rarely use colorburn... the colors turn out bad and ugly.. just dont use it hahhaha Also, when colorizing stuff that is already black, there is really nothing you can do. You can try lighting it up [color the black part with white, then set that to screen(on lowered opacity)? or softlight?] after you do that, add another layer to the black part with your desired color. *shrugs* |

nice, it looks beutiful... i only see two things you could fix... your missing some color just under the hair line on her forehead, also your missing some of the color on the right side of her face under her jaw.
8 out of 10: possitive: +eyes +lips +skin +I think you have made what you were looking to create ;) negative: -missed a spot -missed a spot |
