I've watched some episodes of the last 2 seasons, but never a full season. |

I've followed each American since season two (the one where Ruben won).
I even followed American Juniors. Yeah, I'm gonna watch it. The auditions are always interesting also. |

I love the auditions. That's the best part. And then you pick favorites out of those who go through to the next round and you're sucked in. I've followed each season pretty faithfully.

Everything past the auditions is boring for me. I only watch it if my friend forces me. And yeah, Kelly is the only one who's actually become a real star. Clay and Ruben tried, but it didn't really work out for very long.

Every year I go "They can't have anyone worse than last year" but somehow they manage to top themselves year after year lol. Also, on kind of a side note. WTF is up with Kelly Clarkson? They can't use her songs. Well thats a nice way to show thanks for the show that put her where she is today.

Terrell and Derrell descended upon the judges with full, rich, yet sweet voices. Effortlessly harmonizing with each other, creating pure magic. Unfortunately, the twins seem to have been creating a bit more than that, we have learned. Terrell Brittenum, 28, has been in a Memphis, TN jail since January 10, 2006, on an outstanding warrant for charges related to the illegal purchase of a car. Terrell, and brother Derrell, have been accused of using another mans identity to buy a 2005 Dodge Magnum in June. The warrant surfaced when Derrell was pulled over on a routine stop in October 2005, and a license plate check revealed that the car was reported stolen from Georgia. At that point, Derrell was arrested. Terrell was arrested on a fugitive warrant and both posted bail. However, the twins refused extradition to Georgia, which brought new arrest warrants. The Commercial Appeal reported that Derrell is expected to turn himself in on charges of forgery, theft by deception and financial identity fraud the charges Terrell faces. So far, American Idol and FOX have refused to make any comment on the twins or their status on the show. The twins have been in trouble with the law before. Terrell has an arrest record for traffic violation and a charge of disorderly conduct for which he paid a $50 fine. Court records show Derrell Brittenum was arrested in 1998 for theft of more than $500 and in 2000 for contempt of court and passing bad checks. |

aaaaaaaaaaaand here comes the re-cap.
------------------------------------------------------------- the guy in the american flag shirt was funny. "you have beautiful eyes". but not the best singer. the "I like big butts" girl had me laughing so hard. i loved how they rejected the guy in the jester suit before he sang. that guy that came back with the mullet was creepy. the psykick (sp?) girl was so weird. she was like "yeah my sister is the talented one!" but the truth is, they were both sucky. the guy who sang a whole new world with his magic carpet was so funny. he didn't even know the title of the song, and he was like "I CAN SHOW YOU THE WORRRRLLLLDDDDD!!!!!!!" the jamaican wannabe dude was pretty funny, although paula said it wasn't that good. I liked the "randy teaching me how to get the ladies in the 80s........ paula in her new mercedes...." the fat chick who said simon was going to LOVE her was just weird. she was a bad singer and she kept saying "I disagree I disagree I disagree" I loved the belly dancer girl! she was so pretty, and a great singer. OH and the black girl who had the tubetop and mini skirt on and hated paula or whatever. she was something odd. she was so weird. she walked in and said "HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME" without looking at the judges O_O. she was a horrible singer, too. The twins (carlson twins or something like that?), the asian ones. I liked them, they were so cute. They were pretty good singers, but I wish i could have heard them seperately. haha, that rocker guy was so funny. he was like "oh. im way too hardcore for you. psh, you bore ME." and his singing... "AAAAUUUUGGGGHHHHOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH... mabyeee when im deaaaaddd.... AAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!". Haha, and after he left randy was making fun of him. |

 and for the guys, i like taylor hicks. i dont know why, he really isnt THAT good, but i like him. why does he have gray hair already? and his moves when hes singing are kinda weird. but..i like him.

American Idol makes me angry. Its like all the people put their dreams on the line and they let three little people tell them whether they have talent or not. And they give up. Its like dude, people got famous before American Idol, and they will get famous after its gone. I like the auditions because its fun to laugh at people dumb anough to risk their dreams on tv like that. Have fun. Thats why I will never audition. I'm not putting all my dreams on the line like that. What if you have a bad day? What if youre really really nervous? Next thing you know, they take the worst part of the whole audition and put it on tv for the world to see. Just mean. And what does calling someone fat have to do with their talent. I <b>hate</b> that.

and for christ sake. i GET that its emotionally a big deal for her, and she's had a sucky life, but will someone PLEASE tell kellie pickler that SOMETIMES, its ok not to f**kin cry when you're on camera i miss brooke barretsmith. we should have had her instead of rebecca o'donoghue, who is ridiculously bland. and crystal... whatsherface instead of heather cox, who i find rather dull, and i dont think will make the top 12 over people like kellie, paris, or lisa tucker i resent the fact that there are two top 24 contestants (melissa mcghee and kinnick sky) who i have never heard sing, despite the fact that those repelant twins got about an entire show worth of airtime to themselves. i want chris daughtry to win. regardless of whether or not he can sing, i resent ace on the grounds that he is ridiculously good looking, which is childish and silly, but i dont care. the guy (bobby) who like, got hyper excited in the elevator on the way down from getting the good news gives me the creeps. i had to mute his little celebration, as it made me uncomfortable. i REALLY like stevie, and its a shame we didnt see more of her in the early rounds, because now she'll have fan bases to overcome. are there really people who are voluntarily known as bucky? I love the kid from the Woodlands, but that's probably because that's only...half an hour away from where I live. I like his voice, I guess, it's got a kind of older, swing-y sort of feel to it, but I like other people better.
I love Chris whats-his-face. The one that hid his yellow paper in his cowboy hat at the very beginning/ But my favorite would have to be...Taylor. I love how he's so entirely different from the rest of the singers, and I love how much he reminds me of Ray Charles. He's just...amazing. I think Ace is just going to turn into another Constantine. The one the girls all swoon over, but not destined to win, because he's not the best singer. |

i usually dont care about A.I.
but i actually watched it this season Vocal wise- Elliot. the guy has a great Voice, and sang great both times. The bald rocker dude. Ace, even thought he's being kinda iffy, and Gideon(the only black guy lol) gideon surprised me, the guy has a STRONG voice. i didnt like it when he sang "Shout" not because he was bad, but because thats a stupid song to sing... finally david, that dude that sang like frank sinatra is gone, the cruner. i mean like, thats all he can do. and its a played out style thats not necessarily challenging. and how many people would actually buy an album like that? c'mon thats like the 5th rat pack wannabe that we had on the show. Sway is gone, damn, but i knew it would happen. oh well, the guy can sing, i mean the guy sang "Reasons", thats probably the most difficult song ever picked on there yet. that most of the singers cant even attempt if they wanted to. but the stevie wonder song he sang was bland, like he had no confidence left or something. i dont think thats reason enough for him to go, but hey, its american idol. at first i thought Will sucked when he sang that michael jackson song, but then he sang a normal ballad, and i was like "okay thats better" i dont think anyone should sing michael jackson songs lol, they dont showcase anyones voice. but will's still not one of the best. but he doesnt suck. now i like the nerdy guy that looks like chicken little(lol i forget his name) but he wasnt better than Sway.... for the women, best vocalist are : Mandisa, Catherine McPhee, Lisa Tucker, and potentially the basketball girl. Pickler has a cute personality, and shes not bad, but shes not one of the best. Paris is Good too. dont get me wrong, in her audition it was like "damn" but now shes having wierd song choices, and shes sounding wierd... but i definately dont think she should go yet. my top 12 pick: Elliot, Catherine Mcphee,Mandisa,Taylor Hicks, AceYoung,Bald Rocker dude lol, Lisa Tucker,Bucky,Paris,maybe pickler, Gideon, and basketball chick. ill put money on thats who makes it haha. anybody wanna bet? lol |
