Last weekend I met this guy, and we clicked so well -- it was like we were friends for years! The people in the party were surprised to know we only met then. We talked alot and we had so much in common. We eventually left for another party together with people. He asked if he could go with me because he thought I was such a fun person. In the car, it was surprising how easily we talked and sang to the most random things. He asked me stuff about myself, which was pretty random too. He complimented me here and there, and always found ways to make me laugh. We had so much fun together and even noted how he never imagined he'd have so much fun. By the end of the night, he gave me his number and asked me to text him my sn and so he'd have my number, too -- i had to go, so it was quick.

The next day I did, but he never answered back. The night after that, I texted him again about a random question, but he didn't answer back either. I wondered if his cell was dead or something, so I asked my friend to call him -- he answered! So, his cell phone works, but I wonder why he didn't bother to answer back or call?

I really don't mind if he has no intention of dating, I just want us to keep in touch and be good friends. It's been 4 days since then and no word -- What happened and what should I do?

Sounds like you've been played? Just forget about him and move on. If he's into you, he'll call you, and not make you wonder.

well its best not to jump into (wrong) conclusions. But don't get your hopes up either. I think he did not bother to cal because he was probably testing you or w/e. Well at least from personal experience, I jumped into conclusions with my gf and called her a lot, then she got mad.. laugh.gif well nothing really to laugh about. She was actually testing to see if I really trusted her... but I guess I failed. Then again we all make mistakes

traditionally the guy makes the first move, but you never know if the guy is shy.

He might just be shy or afraid to call. Let's be honest here: Girls don't exactly make it easy for guys to call them. Guys are screwed in a lot of ways from the get-go. If they call too soon or too often for the girl, then she gets annoyed, or think he's a creep, or think he's stalking her. But if a girl wants a guy to call her really soon or really often, and he doesn't because he's a afraid she doesn't, then he was just playing her and he's not worth her time. And let's be honest, girls don't often make it clear which one they want.

So basically, maybe the guy is just trying to hold off so he doesn't seem desperate. Or maybe he's nervous or afraid or shy. Or maybe he isn't interested in you at all. I know that's a vague answer but it's kind of hard to tell from what you've said.

agreed. also, maybe give him a bit of time for him to call. he could be nervous to pick up the phone.
